Default cat converter recycling.

I heard theres someplace in SAC that buys catalytic converters for $80-100 each. I have a couple that came with an exhaust system I've been looking to get rid of. But I haven't been able to find said business.

Check the yellow pages. I sold my old cat to a place in San Leandro and got $65.00 for it about 2 years ago. I can get you the name and address if you want next week. Just PM me.

John

There was a pretty decent crime wave stealing converters off parked cars at night in San Ramon last year. They cut off 30+ one night in 1 neighborhood (all high 4X4 vehicles). I forget where they were selling them to.

We had several stolen off of 4x4s in the parking lot during work hours in Fremont.

We use a place called JT Cores out of Napa. There is also MorCore. Both will come and pick them up, but prefer to have more then a couple. If you call me on monday, I can give you either one of the phone numbers.
