Default HOD at Thunder...where to stay Thursday

Going to Thunder for the HOD event on the 26th, any recommendations on where to stay Thursday night?

I guess I should have checked the HOD site first . Perhaps the questions should be, which of the local motels offer the best Cont-breakfast and a clean bed for a fair price?

It mostly depends on personal taste. I've stayed at the BW, what used
to be the Amerihost, which is right next door, and at the Super 8. Some
feel that the first two are better and they charge a bit more, since all
I want is a bed and a shower the Super 8 does ok most of the time. I
haven't tried the Motel 6. The Mexican Rest. that most hang out at is
right on the parking lot for the BW so is closer to the first two as well.

I've stayed at the Super 8 and the AmeriHost, now called the Baymont (530-934-9700). Rates were very close, as I'm sure most of the hotels around Willows are. Both are clean, with Baymont next to the afore mentioned mexi restaurant, and Super 8 within walking distance of fast food places.

Check if the group you're going with is offering group rates.

I've stayed at the Best Western, Amerihost and the Super 8. You will find most of the Corvette guys at this event will stay at the Baymont (old Amerihost) or the BW. When I stayed at the Super 8 I was always worried about a pickup or some other car hitting my car, but heck - Starbuck's is right next door. I'm staying at the Baymont this time, last year I stayed at the BW.

As Doug notes by staying at a different place this time around, none of
the Willows options are good enough to generate 'best option' status.
If you go to enough track days, over time you will probably try them all.
