Default Vette Magic 32 Results

Well I showed up early and I guess they were just getting their teching figured out, so the first thing they tell me is I have to disconnect my nitrous. ( Later someone tells me small roots blowers and nitrous is OK, but I didn't know ) They said I couldn't run unless my bottle was taken outta the car, so I complied.
Now I have no nitrous so I don't get to play. However, I have new M & H 17" racemasters I've never used. I had one failed attempt at an airport when I burned up my McCloud clutch. Now I have a new Cartek clutch I've never dumped hard so I'm still excited. I do my burnout and I guess they grip so good that 4500 rpm wasn't enough to get them completely freewheeling and spinning.... so I skip to the starting line without a nice clouda smoke kinda burnout. I go a little past the staging area , as did the other car on that run, so we both back up and then go. I get my slip and they warn me I'm gonna get kicked if I do it again. I say Ok I'll do some better burnouts and just shoot for a much better 1/8th mile. I get back into the lanes for a second run and they pull the cones and kick me out. All for an 11.265 at 128.5mph. I didn't even get to see what my firsttime on those M&Hs were because when I overstaged I didn't get a number for 60'. This really suc*** because #1 Other people got to use nitrous ---no problems. I'm glad everyone got to use their nitrous, that's why mine was on , I wanted to use it too. Wahhh, Wahhh oh well next time #2 ) I still don't know what kinda hole shot my car can handle Wahhh, Wahhh.
Anyone know of any track rentals coming up where they are more lenient with getting tossed AND/OR anyone know of a good place in the bay or East Bay were I can get a rollbar installed ?

I heard they were running 11.3s and 11.4s and didn't get kicked out. My run was the 3rd and 4th person of the day. I think when they got to the 60th racer or so then they started to get lenient. But, they still kicked me out. Next time I go to any of these functions I'm gonna get in the middle of the pack and try to hide.

That suck's you getting kicked out and "NOT" being able to spray
11.2 without spray With spray you would be lowwwww 10's

Just throw a bar in and it dosen't matter where you run.

Sounds awesome Do you think they'll enforce the rollbar requirement?

11.45 at 121 MPH. It was my new PB also. It was in the left lane so I did not get a 60' time. Sac Raceway blows for that one. The 60' time has been out for a month and they still have not fixed it yet. After that run, the stock clutch started complaining and slipping a little so the times were more in the 11.6 and 11.7 range.

I thought I didn't get a 60' time 'cause I over staged. Wow, I hope it's fixed for the shootout.

Does it matter?

Should have come talked to me before going out there. I've been able to get away with quite a bit and it's all in how you go through tech the first time. Should have left the bottle out for tech and ran a pass or two on motor. Then you put the bottle in and go for the gusto. When they make a fuss and don't throw you out ( ) then take the bottle out and go have fun. If you run faster than allowed on motor, just go home happy knowing that you were thrown out for a good reason.

And the NorCal shootout is usually very linient on everything. Just come as you will and run what you brung. They won't usually make a fuss until your sub 11's. Then they keep their eyes on you.
