Default Our new foster Doje.....

We sometimes get the priviledge to name some of our fosters. This fella is about 4 yrs old and was rescue from a puppy mill in Missouri this past weekend. My wife picked him and Daisy up on Monday and I took them to the vet on Tuesday to get all the fixings done. Named him Doje because on Monday the group was talking about dogs at the restaurant and Davids nic came in mind.

HE is very scared and is just getting used to me....as you can see he likes to hide...

Daisy was already pregnant when she was spayed.

THis one might take a week or two before he is ready for adoption.

I love dogs as well.
Thats great that you guys dedicate your time and money to help these animals in need.
Keep up the good work

One tip from the best Dog trainer; Cesar Millan,

"Unfortunately, this dog associates his negative experience with humans. In order to regain his trust, you want to make him come to you. Outsmart the animal by ignoring him while moving closer. To attract him, I would bring a nice-smelling piece of chicken from El Pollo Loco and tie it to my belt, so the smell travels his way. Avoid eye contact. Do not walk toward him; walk parallel to him. The key is for him not to realize that you are looking for him. The more you look at or talk to a dog that doesn’t trust humans, the more timid he will become, but the more you ignore him, the more attracted he will become.

Stay calm and assertive, Cesar Millan"

Cesar Millan is a genius! If I actually applyed the techniques he teaches on his show, I would have the most well behaved dog ever. Unfortunetely, I don't and he's not.

Seems overly elaborate. I've rescued abused dogs from the pound and they just need to be treated normally, with a huge dose of love, and they all come around. If he loved you because of Pollo Loco tied to your belt, he'd probably jump out of your car whenever you passed one of those joints! doje = dog
