We've got a rather large (and still growing) wood pile on the corner of the property from all the projects we've been doing, and my friends and I have been tossing around the idea of having an after-sunset campfire at a beach... problem is none of us can think of any locations around here (south bay or over 17) that allow after-sunset campfires, much less visits. Not trying to do anything rowdy or illegal, just want to kick back and relax on a weekend night. The idea of a campsite was tossed around, but some of my friends have kid(s) or jobs that won't allow for them to be out for a whole weekend... though if there's parks / recreation areas that would allow for just being there for the evening, that might work too...
The beach to the left (south) of the yacht harbor still allows bon fires... Feel to jump in and correct that if in fact the rules have recently changed.

Yes, you're right. Its just 50yards south of the Santa Cruz Harbor. Pretty mellow place and real close the road for hauling the wood to the beach. Just make sure you park in a legit area, as they are ticket happy down there.
