Default Windshield replacement in Long Isalnd

Hello all
Today, I cracked my windshield on my 82 while removing my speakers. Can anyone recommend someone to properly replace the glass here in Long Island.
Thank you.
Jacques

the shop I used for years shut down when the owner retired. The only thing I could suggest is ask the body shop you use or call your insurance co. and see who they can recommend, even your daily driver insurance co. They would know who does the best job with the fewest complaints.

Just remember to demand an OEM windshield with all the GM stamps if this is important to you. Did safelight install and each of the 2 windshields had small defects. Went to dealership to get the OEM myself. Maybe it would matter on resale???

I' am contemplating using Safelite. Did you remove the trim yourself prior to safelite removing and installing the windshiled?
Trying to avoid using my new insurance and just paying out of pocket

Thank you. Since my post, I have taken the windshield out myself. I' am now in the process of cleaning all the pinchweld. Looking to prep everything before I reach out to someone to install the glass.
