08 Z06 won't pass NY inspection.
Today was my 3rd attempt. They keep saying the monitors are not ready to be read. The first two times they said it's because it hasn't been driven enough. But I drove to PA where it just had baby cam and SD tune done, so since then, it's been 4+ hours of driving before taking it this 3rd time. They thought it's been driven enough and they don't know what the problem is. This is just an STS, not a vette shop or anything.
Any idea's?
Mods = PRC265 heads, EPS baby cam, Kooks LT's WITH cats, and Haltech intake.
Is there something wrong with the cars computer?

Did you load any tunes, disconnect or kill the battery or do anything else to cause a reset ?

It had a new cam installed and then dyno and street tuned @ CSP in PA, then they wound up doing an SD tune. The drive home from PA was about 4 hours, and dealt with a lot of heavy traffic. Maybe that driving wasn't enough driving to get all the monitors ready to be read?

Took over 500 miles of driving for the monitors on my C6 to be ready after I disconnected the battery. People have told me it can even take more than that. I started using a bluetooth OBD 2 scanner to check every time I drove the car. In NY I think you are allowed to have 1 monitor not ready. Keep driving.

There is a drive cycle procedure. You need to drive a steady speed for a few minutes then decel without brake then up to speed again not sure of the specifics but had to do it on my Z06 a few years ago and it wasn't fun going about 50mp down the parkway for 5 minutes . I'm sure you can get the procedure on line or from a dealership.

I see them on Amazon for like $40, that would be worth it to know for sure if you will pass or not instead of driving to an inspection station, paying $37 only to fail again.

If you have access to a Tech II you can force some of the monitors to run, or search for the specific drive cycle for each monitor that comes back not ready.

You have a vacuum leak. Most likely a very small one, but big enough to cause issues. Search the car for any hoses or tubes that aren't connected. Check around the air intake.

Have you contacted CSP, do they realize NY is an inspection state. If the rear O2 sensors were shut off in your tune ( this is common for cars in non insp. states or competition only cars ) The car will show not ready forever!
