Best paint shop in NE Philly area??? more......
I live in Perkasie, PA and need to have my 68 Vette painted (int. blue). There's not too much body work to be done however I want a nice paint Job. Willing to spend up to $7K. I understand there's a guy in Quakertown who does awesome work however his name is not known to me.
Thanks for your help.

Carl...
Anything compared to work done by Allans or Bill McElroy's looks like MAACO. :yesnod:
Why do you think Chip Miller has Dennis do all his cars??????

Carl....
Corvettes are made out of fibreglass, not metal or steel.
The prep work is what makes the difference. Your place may do fine work, but if they are not experienced in painting & prepping fibreglass, it doesn't matter how good a job they do on Ferrarris.
Alan's & McElroys are EXPERIENCED in FIBREGLASS! And it shows! :yesnod:

They do Vettes everyday as well, and the new ones are composite plastic, and the new Ferrari's are carbon fiber.

I know the guy that you speak of in Quakertown personally. (at least I think I do).
He does phenomenal work and is a fantastic craftsman and perfectionist. Unfortunately at this time he is booked into 2004. He has multiple restoration jobs in house now and won't take any more.
A true testament to the work that he does is the hood on my Callaway. He reshaped the ducts on the hood completely by hand (Callaway no longer sells them) and made new studs and brackets for all of the interior hood ducting. The "wow" factor from this whole thing is unbelievable.
Other than that, he's got one other car of mine.. he's had it for 2 years and I'm in no hurry!
