Hey Posse how about a track day?
Dan and I are thinking about July 28TH at Palmer, brand new track. This will be an SCDA event so it will be highly organized. Anyone else have any interest!

Jeff, It is $345 for the day and SCDA runs the most organized track days I have ever attended. My Shelby now has LT's and Alan and Frank think I'm as loud as yours but I see nothing on noise restrictions. Check the SCDA website for exact details and get back to us with any questions.

Go do it guys, it is the most fun you can have with your car. Scda does a great job too. Instructors are provided in the car with you, so no worries. I am not sure if Palmer is setup for class training yet? But at Lime Rock they always had class training between runs which was great when I first started.
I am so bummed to still be on the injured list and unable to do much with the cars, especially missing track days. Have fun and post some pucs for me! Dan

The default sound limit is 96 decibels on the A scale measured at 50 feet from the track edge. Vehicles violating the dB limit will be black flagged and not allowed on track without corrective measures. Three strikes: you are done.

Jeff/Bob:
Here's an application that would give you an idea of how loud your car would be.
https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/deci...382776256?mt=8
I probably wouldn't worry about the noise ... 96 decibels is pretty loud.
I think you would be under that level.
Has anyone ever seen someone at these events with sound equipment measuring decibels? Track has to have the rule in place but may not be required to monitor every event.
I would be more concerned about getting your car dirty

John, did you confirm all is in place, (at the track) for this event?
What kind / where did you pick up your helmet?
I would guess this track day would not be that hard on tires as it would on brakes, correct?
Still on the fence...
As far as dirt goes as long as it is after Moroso, I am good.

Not gonna make this one guys
Dan, thanks for the offer on the helmet. John, thanks for all your info as well.
Too many things going on around this time.
Also, just bought an apple watch, (you know I needed it, LOL) so already spent my mad money.
This is on my list to do and you are the guys I want to do it with!

went to palmer on 5/8 with northeast track days,
palmer is going to be so good once the curbing and grass is sorted.
2 offs into dirt and rocks being kicked up wasn't stellar
still so much better than thompson and loudon though.

Did Thompson Speedway July 6 and Lime Rock July 15. Great time at both. Looking forward to Palmer.

I am going July 30 for a half day at the speedway at Loudon. The setup I believe is to do the track and an autocross with the oreesponding instruction. Last year I went to Foxboro for an autocross class. Looking forward to it.
