Default Looking to buy my first Vette

Hi all, I'm located in NYC (Staten Island to be exact) and I'm looking to get into my first corvette, preferably a C5. I have a budget of 18k and I'm looking for an auto car. I've been looking for the past two months now and haven't seem to find anything that was perfect or even close to it, and i've looked at 10+ cars. Starting to think that I either need more $$$ or I need to be less picky. But anyway, If there is anything local for sale that anyone see please let me know. Looking for an auto, 99+, targa and under 75k miles. Thanks in advance.

I also have a WTB Thread in the for sale section, came here for a local reply heres the link to the other thread:

Backtolife it takes time to find what your looking for. You need to be
patient. You may have to travel some. Take your time,it will be
worth it.

I know it's hard to be patient in this endeavor, especially at this time of the year, but it will pay off in the long run if you do. $18k should be enough for your A4 car, and I'd highly recommend you looking at 2001 cars to 2004, as they have some improvements over the 2000 and earlier C5s. We own a bought new '02 C5 vert, and a 2009 C6Z and can speak with confidence that you will find the right car if you give yourself proper time, and effort. be prepared to travel to find the "right car". Best of a good experience in your search.

2002 to 2004 would be the best

18 grand for an a4 coupe or convertible with less than 75k miles should be easy.
