Baltimore Inner Harbor Restaurants
Heading down to the Inner Harbor for a few days in early August. Any recommendations for mid-range ($$) restaurants around the harbor or Little Italy? Preference is for "non-touristy" places....maybe a bit off the beaten track, but within walking distance. And not Bubba Gump's, Hooters, Cheesecake Factory, etc.

I've been all over the world and have spent quite a bit of time in Baltimore. Pay attention. Fels Point is the place you want to go. Skip the touristy inner harbor bs. Head to Fels Point and have a nice evening of great food, music and drinks.

Fells Point is good but whatever you do stay away from the west side of town and ALWAYS walk around with a friend or two or three (safety in numbers - Baltimore can be a dangerous place at night outside the Inner Harbor area). For a list of good restaurants by cost and reviews, go here:

Good luck.

Inner Harbor:
Supano's is a neat steakhouse with an old-school rat-pack vibe. Generous helpings of Italian food there too.
Fells Point:
Great recommendation, there are a ton of cool restaurants/bars there.
Federal Hill:
This is my neighborhood. Try Ryleighs (oysters, seafood), Liv2Eat, Abbey Burger Bistro (burgers), or Porters (good pub food).

If you're looking for a unique breakfast experience, try the Blue Moon Cafe: 1621 Aliceanna Street, Baltimore, MD 21231 in Fells Point. It's a tiny hole-in-the-wall and you might have to wait for one of the 8 or so tables, but it's worth the wait. Recommend giving the Capt Crunch crusted french toast in try. Was on Diners, Drive-ins and Dives and is a locals' favorite.
