Just realized no property tax in NY.

Veteran plates are actually unique also.

May have to switch them out.

Well at least it's down from last year's bill for $971.99

Oh, also paying for my 89 Corvette convertible ... $181.61.
This one should go down next year because I finally cancelled the regular registration and re-registered it as a "Classic"

Love CT
Jesus, just happened to read this thread a yearly tax on car. Does this apply to all vehicles every year and how is it rated . Like another mentioned thought NJ was bad .

yep, every year, any car not on antique plates, assessed value (which is 70% of appraised value) is taxed at the same mil rate as your home. Typically that means 2-3% property tax every single year. And the state is still broke.

Just got my 09 Z06 last month so its not on my taxes for July. But my 2013 Accord was $485.00. Burlington's mill rate is up around $29.50. At least after being on the fire department for 5 years I get a tax break of $1000 a year on any taxes due to the town. haha.

At least gas is cheap......Oh wait, the gas station I was looking at has been closed for 10 years, lol.

Should have registered the car as a farm vehicle. Farm vehicles are tax exempt, I think.

Well... $33.24 here in Enfield, didn't post this back in Dec as that's when I got the first bill [$1285]. Feels good getting another bill of $1,186 bill for a car I drove until June of last year. I'll get a new bill [difference] in Dec for the 2015.

Read this whole thread...thinking I was late to the game. Guess I really am considering its from last year!!

Alan enjoy those taxes!

Haven't got a bill yet on the Vette, but I'm fuming on the house. It went up 22% from when we moved in 2013 to now (upped the assessment and the mill rate went up 2 points). I did just pay close to $2K to register the car though....
