Anyone had a deck built/replaced lately?

Keep in mind that in Nassau County, the upper deck needs to be 100% self supporting - you can no longer attach the back end to the house as its means of support; the frost line depth for piers is 36".
As for price, the lower deck should be about $15-17 sq.ft. and the upper deck about $25-28 sq.ft. Trex railings are $25 linear foot.
$16,000 seems to be about right for the job.
