I have an aftermarket system installed in my C5 vert. It was installed years ago and it is not sounding as it should. I am looking for some help to fix/ upgrade it. Can anyone recommend someone on Long Island? I really don't want to just walk into a car stereo place off the street.

Josh, it's been about 10 years since I've worked on that silver vert, I can assist with removing the door panels and console to access the HU.

It's about a 20 minute task.

I don't design sound systems, but the C5/6 speaker/HU rem/replace is a short process.

Thanks, Steve. I am going to try one of the forum audio guys first. The issues with the stereo are not basic. I already have a full aftermarket system in the car. I will let you know what happens.

sound is missing sporadically from drivers speaker, need more midbass, thinking about updating hu

have u swapped speaker inputs lft to right?? could be the amp going bad.

Took the car to John at Long Island Sounds. He was extremely patient with me and gave me many options. We changed up the system a little bit and I am VERY happy with the way it came out. I would recommend John to anyone interested in upgrading their sound system!!!!
