Well I went and did it... I know I'll be kicking myself in the A!!! but for several reasons I took the Vigilante out & put the stock converter back in..

I'm also going to put on the stock wheels but still use Drag Radials.. & keep the 3.73s

Reasons are I want to drive the car more during the week, & it will be much nicer with the stock size tires all around.. I wont be hitting the air dam on dips & wont have to worry about driving on the 3.5 wheels in front..

I'm thinking with the stock converter & 275 BFG, & should hook up ok, but I'll 60' in 1.9xx & run 13.2 range..

I dont want to be a pessimist, but SH!! I just dont get to drive it as much as I'd like..its a 96 & only has 40k so I'll drive it around the "Old Age Home" a little more.

I think (hope) I'll still be competitive at the track, only I'll be .7 slower.. it should be as consistent..

If I see it dont hook with the 17" DR I can always put the big ones back on, unless I sell em...

Anyone want to make an offer on 5 Weld Pro Stars I have an extra 15x3.5 front..

Well John, looks like we'll be able to run heads up after all!

I still want you to drive my car, although after we talked my car started running pretty consistent. My 1000' times were all 11.02-11.18 but remember I was running back to back with no break in between runs, I never even took my helmet off!

I dialed a 13.27 and left it on the glass until my final run where I ended up breaking out by .04.

So does this mean you'll come on one of my "Mojo Crab Cruises"?

I am sure that your car will be even more consistent which is perfect for bracket racing. But if I know you, it won't be long before you want to turn up the heat a little. It seems like it was just a few months ago that you were talking about putting your car a weight loss plan in an attempt to hit the 11's with the stock heads and cam.

In any case, I hope you can continue to actively race as much you have in the past.

I hope the switch in converter doesn't hurt you tree reaction too much as the car will leave different.

Interesting choice. I would have taken out the gears and left the TC. My 3.42 rear makes my car cruise at a much higher and louder rpm so that is why I would have gone my way.

I just put in the stock converter, & stock wheels with DR.. I'll be going to E Town Fro or Sat to see what kind of # its gonna run..

If HOT like today, I expect 13.5 .. if the weather gets better 13.3
