Upstate New York C7 Club - NEW!!!
Who Are We?
We are a new club in the upstate New York area for seventh generation Corvette owners and enthusiasts, but anyone from anywhere is welcome to join. The purpose of the club is to share local events and car shows with other members, attend shows together, have a place to chat, and to just have fun.
Why Should You Join?
BECAUSE IT'S FREE!!! But there are also other reasons to join Upstate C7. You will have the ability to stay informed on local and national car shows, as well as have the chance to talk with other C7 Corvette owners in the same area as you.
How Do I Become A Member?
It's VERY easy. If you want to join Upstate C7, simply PM (Nate GM) or introduce yourself in this thread. That's it! Once I see your message or post, I will add you to the members list.
You can also become a member if you join our group page. All you have to do is click on the link and click "join group"!

**I think this is a great chance to get a group of local C7 owners together to have some fun. I have no idea if this club will end up working or where it will go, but I figured that I might as well give it a shot. I tend to have a busier schedule than many so if anyone wants to help take over and lead this club, PLEASE just send me a message.**

Will you accept a C7 owner in process as a member? I am wait listed for a Z06...actually rather close to the front of the line with a forum dealer.
We sold our last Corvette years ago. Looking forward to getting back into the hobby. Was very active in NCCC speed events, a member of Tri-Vettes and founding member of VIP Ltd. We lived in the Albany area. Now we live 30 minutes north of Syracuse.

The Z06 is going to be amazing, it should be classified as a super-car if it already isn't. I hope you go to some shows when you get it so that I can it in person!

Please send the new member gift pack to my home.
The Z06 will be the most super car we will have ever owned. It will easily be one of the most powerful Corvettes we have driven. And the handling should be awesome. With the only Corvettes we have owed being C3s, this thing will be a totally different experience.
Until the car arrives (early 2015?), we will be pretty much in-active, other than attending Corvettes of Carlisle in August.

Hi all you lucky Stingray owners, or owners-to-be! Glad there is a "local" support group.
I am from the Utica area in upstate NY. I ordered my car out of state and drove it home March 8th. It is a NRB 2LT Z51 NPP MSRC M7 NAV Kalahari. Here she is at MacMulkin in Nashua, just before the 260 mile joy-ride home!
(Nate: Thanks for the PMs and the invite!)

We're up to 13 members now!
We're thinking about attending the Sylvan Beach Car Show that takes place every Thursday as a group once it starts. If we can get enough people, we can all meet up by a near-by store or gas station parking lot and then drive in to the show together. That would definitely turn a lot of heads!!
We also have an official group page and group thread on StingrayForums that is really taking off! If you want to join the official group page, just become a member on the site and click "join group".

Anyone planning on going to The National Corvette Museum Birthday Bash and Corvette Caravan in August? I'd love to go on a long road trip like that with my C7 some day.

Looks like our winter is finally over. My car is supposed to be accepted by GM this or next week so looks like I have to wait another 2 months for my Stingray It's going to be a long 2 months, especially now that the nicer weather is here.

There will be a show in Clarendon, NY on May 31 from 12PM to 5PM. It's called the "Clarendon Fire Company Car Cruise", so I'm assuming that it will be held at or near the Fire House. There will be a 50/50 raffle, a Chinese auction, good bags, dash plaques, music, and of course good food. We have a new member from Buffalo who may be going and I would consider going as well if we get enough people, even though my car will not be delivered until the end of June
Heres the link for more information on that show: http://www.dashplaques.net/events/12...ny-car-cruise/
The Sylvan Beach car show that is held every Thursday will also be starting fairly soon. That has always been my favorite show so I will let everyone know when I hear more information about it.
C'mon guys, lets breathe some life into this thread and club!
