Default CT meets

New to the forums and new to the 'vette crowd. I'm super anxious for meets and was wondering how often the CT crew meets up and where.

I live in Enfield.

Hey there Zing.

There is a Club Corvette that Ive heard about but havent had the chance to check out yet. I think theyre mainly in the Branford/New Haven area

http://www.clubcorvettect.com/

Theres a write up on them in the NCM magazine. If you hear of any others, let me know

You said new to the vette crowd... did you just get one? What kind if so?

What'd you get?
Welcome to the Forum.

Peruse the northeast section of this Forum for the Northern CT Posse. We are not a club, but a group of Vette lovers that go on rides, go to shows and generally cause havoc around the area.
Feel free to join in on the fun.

I got a C7...

I know of Marks and went last summer in hopes of selling my previous car there. I also know vette night brings close to 1k of owners...

Looking forward to the weather break in so I can take the vette out to play.

Hi Zing !
We're neighbors i guess....Is your car blue with plate "JP 6" ??? By any chance....

I have been on 1 or 2 Posse rides they are good people, and very easy going.
If you like the more formal club stuff, I am a member of CLOC "Corvettes Limited of Connecticut".
If you ever wanna go to a monthly meeting to check it out lemme know. :-)
-ALF out...

Nope, the vette has only seen the Warwick RI to Enfield commute on 1/1 and one other quick drive around town. C7 VY here.

Would love to meet up with a formal club as well. Comin' from the Infiniti scene, the formalized scene didn't exist. I def, will join in on a Posse ride or two.

Is there typically a thread on when these start? \

Now if someone would only stop shaking this stupid snow globe I could get the vette out and about

Alan,

Welcome to the Forum.

We live in Enfield as well and also have a C7.

As others have mentioned Mark's Cruise is a great place to meet up with fellow Vette owners and the Posse is a great group of folks.

We've had our C7 since October but haven't had it out much yet. In the meantime we've been playing with a few mods so just send us a note at: richsclassiccorvettes@***.net and we'd be happy to share some ideas.

Best of luck with your new toy.

no threads for those. the bk one is just a "show" every saturday night for aslong as you can stay awake.
panera is every other Saturday night at the panera on the berlin tpke.
the vernon show is every friday night at golf land

a few big shows we go to are ccsu and uconn which are both beginning in april, they usually have a huge turnout.

what kind of scene are you into?

I'm coming from the G35 / G37 / 350Z / 370Z scene. Which wasn't much to be honest. We had several shows we would attend but stopped going to the UConn one. A couple of years back there was an incident in which a truck left the show via the muddy corn fields and sprayed a bunch of mud and debris onto some really nice Porsche's and it was a little too close for comfort (our group wasn't too far away from the incident). If there's a good group I'll re-consider...

Here's a pic of what my '06 G looked like (I was the only owner)... all mods on car were subtle

we have 3 vettes that always hang out. my frc, buddies c5z, and another friend with a zr1, we have a bunch of other friends with all different types of rides.
hopfully winter comes to an end early this year, sick of looking at it in the garage.
