I'll be in the market for a C5 this year. A co-worker told me that I should go to CAC and find a deal at the end of the day on Sunday. Can anyone tell me if the deals are THAT good there? I've never been there.

Could be. But by noon or one, everyone other than those who are in the awards parade has pretty much packed it in. So get there early Sunday, find a car you like and dicker with the owner.

Saturday afternoon is also good - some sellers don't come back for Sunday due to lower attendance.

Won't be going, it's kind of like been there done that. Was at the Ford one last year and it was much better than the Corvette one.

I need to get there this year. Any hotel suggestions? Just looking for one night. (maybe two) Probably like to stay over Friday/Sat. night. I'm only two hours away.

I stayed at the Clarion (was Holiday Inn in 2012) the last 2 years and also recommend it. Has a bar in the hotel and real good diner across street. Make sure to show room key to get 10% off your meal. We're not going for the weekend this year since we're doing the Caravan.

Check www.choicehotels.com. Lots of hotels at that site. We've stayed at the Comfort (Quality?) in Scotland/Chambersburg before and it was nice. Just be sure to say you don't want a basement level room. Musty, dank and dark.

I'm doing both. After a full weekend at Carlisle I'm joining up with the New England Caravan Sunday night

Maybe. Just remember, you get what you pay for. By Sunday, although some good deals may be had, the good cars with reasonable prices will have already been sold. If you find a car you're interested in, give it a good going over from top to undercarriage. Good luck!

PS: Been going to CAC since the first one in '82.

Agreed. There's a reason if the car is still there on Sunday.

I've been to many CAC's and a few GM Nationals. This year I'm doing something different and attending GM Nationals for the weekend. The wife and I will attend CAC on Saturday only this year.
IMO, no car show is a big waste of time.

I like GM, but only for one day. There's just not enough there to keep interest for a weekend. And every year there are less vendors and fewer cars. It's a shame really because every show there deserves to sell out. But a whole weekend at GM? Nah.

Go all the way.....get AR headers with the Corsa exhaust & then have Doug (ECS) do a tune. You'll love it!

It's become quite the tradition here for the ARH crew.

Rain, hurricanes, power outages, and a lot of fun!!
Can this be set up in advance? Any way to get a ball park price?
