Just checking to see if anyone is going to this show. This is one of my favorite shows and am trying to get my motor back together before then.

Just figured I'd start a thread guys are already talking about it over on LS1Tech

Doesn't seem to be that big over here. LS1tech, LOL, we get crazy about it over there.

I may make it down for a day trip on Saturday, the last two years have been disappointing in the fact that traffic was so bad & police were heavy.

This year YeloFvr is making t-shirts, I'm giong to have to sport this one when I'm out and about down there.

He has two other designs. Him and I did the "Stang Bang" shirts a few years back and they were a big hit.

Yes the guys on ls1tech do love that show!! I've been watching over there but am not a member. (My brother is though).
I would have to agree that traffic had been crazy but I just can't give up going to the show!
I've seen the stang bang shirts and Love them. That shirt is perfect for that weekend though!

Well hopefully you make it down and I'll probably cruise through the ls1 meet!

I'm hoping to go down for Saturday. I agree traffic is bad but at least it's mostly cool cars as the traffic!

I will be in a 20ft vending trailer. I will be the one that has a whole lot of Corvette shirts, along with classic and muscle car shirts. White trailer that say Radag's Custom Tees on it.
See you there.

Bigjohn, check out www.specialeventpro.com for info.
We've gone for 17, 18 years. Used to be an amazing weekend. Last several years though the thugs with their pickups have been ruining it as far as "cruising" at night or just enjoying ourselves. They'll load up the beds of the trucks with kids and drive around throwing bottles at people, or fill the bed with water and when they stop at stoplights they'll throw the water on people waiting to cross the street or sitting watching the cars. That's the reason they have need for more police presence. I'm going this year, and if it hasn't improved it will be my last.

There are hotels everywhere there. The ones in OC are about $200 a night. About 15 mins north you can stay in Fenwick island for much less. There are shows at the convention center and the inlet(the end of the strip, both are awesome. You could actually just set up a chair on a corner and watch the cars go by and enjoy the show.

SOME of the hotels in OC are $200 a night, but there are plenty well under that, especially off the boardwalk. My wife works for Ocean City so she knows. Check out these sites. The OC is Free site will give you freebies if you book through them for dinners, attractions, and souvenirs.

Check out the Spinnaker, Bonita Beach, Oceanic, Flamingo, Thunderbird to save some $$.

It didn't used to be that way. Years ago, you couldn't get from Hooters to 30th St. in less than 2 hours because everyone was cruising at night. People used to line the streets and parking lots, sit in chairs and in the beds of parked pick ups and watch the cars. It used to be a lot more fun. The kids and their trucks really killed it.
