Every year for various events, someone enevitably posts up about bad weather a week in advance. Considering that most forcasts can't get the next 24hrs accurate, how about we hold off the doom and gloom until reasonable.
FWIW, Accuweather and weather.com neither are reporting rain for sunday. Also, last years morning showers scared off a few. Too bad because it turned out to be a georgous day.

The one meeting spot that a lot of CFers have engaged in is with Original Garden State Corvette Club who in the past years have gathered at the McDonalds in Deptford,NJ just east of Adelphias and the Deptford mall on Rt 41. As I recall the meet/leave time was 0900 with a 0930 leave, but I just called Jeff the President and will be receiving verification on that guess. The group there in the past has been very big (70 cars or so) and the Deptford police escort us to Rt 42 which helps a lot and we thank them for this help. Stay tuned.

The Vette Gods were smiling on me big time...things are looking pretty good for me at this time. Turned out that the wrist (sp?) pin that holds the rod to the piston broke. Fortunately, it held together (some how) avoiding certain devastation. Everyone at ECS are baffled that it held...they can't believe it. Luckily I was close to home when it happened so I parked it right away not to mention swallowing my pride and having it flat bedded to ECS. Man was that the right decisionDoug said he's pretty sure they have the parts in stock so it might be ready tomorrow. I'm one happy and thankful camper. Should it not be ready for Day at the Beach, I should be good for Toy's 4 Tots. FYI I picked up some lotto tickets

Weather update from Ocean City, NJ. Looks like Mother Nature will cooperate. The latest forecast calls for possible showers LATE Sunday, then Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday . . . but remember, it's just that . . . a FORECAST, not a guarantee. Don't let that keep you from coming to this great show on the Boardwalk. Don't forget to bring a donation for the food cupboard or humane society. Both will be collecting at the airport. There's a list of needs on the main page of our web site: www.boardwalkcorvettes.com

Thanks Glenn for posting the pics. Truely a great event and everyone has a good time. Weather so far looks FANTASTIC. I'm guessing a lot of cars this year.
As for the Pork roll, there are a few places to get it on the boardwalk. No branded resturants, but some that carry what you're looking for. Always fun to eat you way up and down the boardwalk, which my friends know I have done far too often.
Time to start talking about meeting spots. Any of the SJ crew want to meet up beforehand. (Anyone really, not just SJ).

There has been a slight change in OGSCC's meeting spot and leave time. Anyone wishing to caravan down with the Original Garden State Corvette Club is welcome to join us. The club is meeting at the Deptford Post Office (08096) on Rt 41 just down the street (on Rt 41) from the Micky D's mentioned above. They will leave the P.O. at 0800 and travel down Rt 42 to the Atlantic City Expressway and the Garden State Parkway meeting some more members at the McDonalds on 9th Street in Ocean City @ 0900 and on to the airport from there.

Just came from OCNJ. Great weather there today. Forecast was 89 today, 84 tomorrow and 70 on Sunday. 10% POP for Sunday which is minimal from a forecaster's point of view.
I've decided to book a room on the Boardwalk for Sat. night. I can cruise down tomorrow (followed by my two ladies) and enjoy the weekend. Looks like I'll be registering on Sunday AM at the airport.
See you guys there.
