Default Memorial Day thanks to all that served

While we are enjoying this wonderful weekend, let's not forget the true reason for this holiday. Let's remember those that paid the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom. And thanks to all those who are currently serving.

Post some patriotic themed Corvette photos. This is one of my favorite from Carlisle last year.

Parked on the pier of the USS New Jersey on Armed Forces Day.

Just got off the phone with my father. He is 86, piloted a B-24 Liberator, got shot down over Austria, captured by the Germans, spent 9 months in a POW camp, finally liberated by Patton. All this at a very young age. Thanks to all that protect/protected this country .

Its men like you dad that liberated my parents. My mom was in the Hague, the Netherlands and lived under Nazi occupation. My dad was in a Japanese concentration camp for 4 years until he was liberated by men like you dad.

Please extend my greatest admiration and thanks to your dad.

We tend to take this holiday weekend for granted. So many of our men and women are in harms way. My gratitude and hope goes out to those who are still serving. Please be safe.

Great post Marc.

Many holidays are losing thier true meaning, they are now just about days off, bbqs and presents.
