Top tier gas is all I'll use in any of our cars and it's a bit hard to find in these parts. I've been using nothing but Shell V-Power. Google "top tier gas" and read. My slant is if you're payin' high prices for motor fuels you might as well get the best product you can obtain. Top tier fuels meet the grade requirements in additives (detergents, etc) and have to maintain that quality to remain on the list.
Look into getting a Shell credit card - they credit you back either 3% or 5% on your gas purchase so if you're paying $2.80 it's like paying $2.72 or less

Tomorrow is going from $3.17 to 3.39, the rest stops can only raise it once a week. All that to save $1 to $3 after the gas you wasted waiting in line maybe if you had an empty tank that you filled up.

Just a few years ago I would have argued that we would never be paying anything close to what we are for gas today, let alone diesel prices. And to think They're not done with us yet! America is changing, energy costs will change what we pay for everything that we shop for. I myself will try to enjoy the car as much as possible, eating peanutbutter & jelly sandwiches and turning the thermostat back to 50 degrees in the winter to keep the Vette's tank full and a balance remaining in the EZ Pass account even after Governor Corzine sees fit to quadruple the fare on Jersey's toll roads.

I'm dreading filling up my boat for the first time this season. I buy gas on the water which is usually a lot more expensive than on land. The boat holds 170 gallons and burns 16 - 18 gallons per hour at cruising speed.
Looks like lots of short trips this summer.
