Default [EVENT]Karting- V-17 or GPNY ??? YOU DECIDE ! Sunday Jan 27th 2008

Ok , so the deal with karting is this ....

GPNY , in Mount Kisco NY looks like a really sick operation , much better than v-17 in North Jersey .

Plus , they seem much more accomodating and can get us in in the AM so we can be done by 1-130Pm as not to kill your whole Sunday . V-17 cant get us in before 1:30 Pm , kind of in the middle of the day .

On the flipside , they are more expensive . With food V-17 will be about 100-125 while GPNY will be 150-175 for the whole thing out the door.

GPNY will give us a little more track time .

Please post what your preferance is .

Let me know #1) Which one you would rather go to and #2) if the place you didnt choose gets the majority vote , if you would go to the other place .

Its definitly going to happen on Sunday the 27th , its just a matter of where and when .

Both places are requiring me to put down crazy deposits , so if youre not sure , please dont sign up .

This is gonna be a lot of fun in either place , but my nod goes to GPNY .
I just feel bad making two expensive events back to back , soooo

Tell me what you want to do

$175 for half a day of karting? A full day 2 wheeling it at VIR or Pocono is less than that.. Are we renting the entire place or do we get to run inocent civilians into tire barriers? Who has the faster carts/better track?

1. Im coming from NYC on a Sunday so NJ will be an easier drive but I really don't care where we go, the Mt. Kisco place looks like its got better carts..
2. See my answer to #1.

the diff. in price isn't an issue at that point. I suggest doing it in NJ because it'll make it easier the guys from southern NJ and PA to make it.

1) I definitely want to try out the GPNY place, the track looks incredible. Plus, we'd have the whole place to ourselves the whole morning to go nuts!

2) I'm cool going any place else like the Jersey place.

No matter what, I'm definitely in!!!

From what Josh has told me, they'll let us rent the track before the grand opening on Feb 1st. So we'll break thing in or just break them.

top speed, I think the electric cars go 25/30mph and are controlled by the tower...so if they see you goofing around, they turn down your car

just realized my avatar went bye bye

I'd prefer GPNY, but not at the expense of the south NJ/PA guys.
