If you can't find anyone up in Ct., I might have someone on Long Island that can help you.
I restored my 68 GTO about 9 or 10 years ago and I had the plastic A/C vents re-chromed and they still look great.
I gave them to Don's East Coast Restorations and he sent them out. They specialze in 55 - 57 Chevy, but they do chroming and trim restoration too.
They are located at 250 Akron Street Lindenhurst, NY 11757
Phone: (631)226-7982.
There web address is www.EastCoastRestorations.com
You might be able to send them the pieces for a price quote if you don't want to take a ride down to LI.
I had my Dash Bezel done around the same time by a guy from Texas named Darrell Roach, Performance Restorations, 817-431-0001. The process involved stripping and re-chroming the plastic bezel before applying the woodgrain trim and painting the inside of the pods. I don't know if he will just do the re-chroming for you, but he did a really nice job so it might be worth a phone call.
I've also seen some of "Paul's Chrome" work at shows and it looked great too, but I've never had anything done by them personally and I don't know if they do plastic pieces. They are located in PA and their web adress is www.paulschrome.com.
You might also want to check out Hemmings for other people that do it.
Good luck!
