If you cannot make it on Saturday, but have a gift(s), please PM me your address and a convenient time to pick it up. I WILL be there to pick it up!.
It's the most wonderful time of the year!!!
It's time for the 3rd annual NYC Christmas Postcard Tour. This is a very unique corvette event for those that haven't experienced it before. It's a tour of the famous holiday sites/sights/sounds along NY's famous Avenues. It is a sight to behold with all of the corvettes along NYC's famous streets!!! The tourists go insane, and the scenery is beyond belief. BRING YOUR CAMERAS!!! You will get some amazing pics of the sites and your 'vettes!!!!!
I volunteered once at The Children’s Hope foundation – an organization in NYC dedicated to helping children affected with HIV and AIDS. I spent a morning wrapping Christmas gifts, and it was one of the most touching things I’ve ever done in my life (and very sad). It was 2 years ago, and it's still very vivid in my mind.
I am requesting that everyone who comes to the event, PLEASE bring an unwrapped gift for a boy and/or girl. (If you bring more than one gift, it would be so awesome!!) You can even ask your friends/co-workers to contribute gifts also….the more gifts the merrier! The organization will be at the starting point to collect the gifts.
Unfortunately, the Children's Hope Foundation folded a few months ago. This year I will be working directly with the group that received the gifts last year. All gifts will go to the AIDS Center of Queens County, which cares for children and families affected by HIV and AIDS. http://www.acqc.org/index.php
I will try my best to get the NYPD to provide an escort (If anyone can help, I would appreciate it)
I will also work with some of the local news outlets to get some coverage of the event for the organziation.
I'm looking forward to seeing everyone there with their santa hats, elves costumes, and santa's helpers
Maybe Santa will make an appearance again this year!!!!
Date: Sunday December 2nd, 2007 Time: 5:45 PM Starting Point:Madison Avenue between 25th & 23rd Streets
Dinner
After the tour, we will have dinner and drinks at the Chelsea Brewing Company at the famous Chelsea Piers on the West Side of Manhattan. The location has indoor corvette friendly parking. I'll post up the cost shortly. (last year it was $15 for 3 hrs).
Please let me know if you'll be joining us for dinner and if you'll be accompanied by a guest, as I have to give an accurate count. http://www.chelseabrewingco.com/
