I think I found a nice place for a future run
I Went to a friends restaurant a couple weeks ago. She has owned it for 3 years or so and we just never made it over there. Finally jumped in the Vette 2 weeks ago and had breakfast over there.
Let me know what you guys think.
It is at a small airport and you can sit right out in front of the landing strip and watch the planes take off and land. There's a couple of guys with stunt planes and one was doing aerobatics over the airport.
This guy knew how to twist this little Pitts around
I came out and this old Chevy ll was parked next to me. Fantastic resto job!

Yep. Been there, done that. Nice little airport.
Does she serve coconut cream pie? How about Oreo Pie? Those are two favorites of pilots.

Get out your Garmin hand held map. Dutchess County. (Goggle Maps works great) Town of Verbank, south of Verbank on County Rd. 82.....make a left on County Rd. 9...find Tomkins Rd. on your right, (not far) Turn onto Tomkins Rd. and look on you left for N. Smith Rd. (again, not too far) Turn onto N. Smith Rd. and look for the airport on your right.
I was there today, really nice spot, nice dinning area to eat.
Nice roads getting there....I took a little "long" cut.
I'm not sure about tomorrow, now we may go Upstate to check on my friends property. We go up there twice a year, Spring and Fall....smoke a whatca-ma-call-it and get real hungry. Then it's off to Roscoe to Raimondo's Restaurant.
If I don't go Upstate, I'll post early in the morning. I can meet you at the gas station on the Hutchinson River Pkwy (the one in the center of the road) before you get to RT. 684.
Don't let me stop you....go there...it's really a nice ride.

Great restaurant and airport. I have been based there for 10 years. It is best to come on a Saturday as Sunday mornings can get pretty crazy if the weather is good.
Hope to see you all on Saturday, I will be the one with the Hawaiian shirt.
