Default [CNY]Vettes at the Beach - Sun. 7/29

Haven't seen any posts about this yet, but I am already gearing up for this event down here...

Since I am originally from Syracuse, I still attend this show despite living in Virginia. I try to bring members of my Corvette club down here to the show and this year I have a few people lined up to go on the trip.

Anyone here going to Vettes at the Beach? Maybe after the show it would be nice to have dinner/drinks out? Chuck1026? Pitt? Darkgh0st? Anyone?

Thoughts or comments?

If the weather gods are kind, I will be there. I am already pre-registered too. You already know I am up for dinner after .

Anyone who wants more info should visit http://syracusecorvetteclub.tripod.c...tthebeachshow/

The registration form is at http://syracusecorvetteclub.tripod.c...show/id32.html

I plan on being there at the crack of friggin' dawn. Anyone else from the Forum interested in early departure to the show, let me know!

Chuck

I missed last years. I'm going to try to make it this year. It's a nice setting there.

Sorry, I won't be able to make it this year. I have a wedding in Michigan to attend.

Hi Mark... yes, let's figure this out . My "normal" route takes me from near Great Northern Mall on Rte 31 out to Rte 13 and up to the VAB. I'd love to get in on an early bird caravan.

Lil Red... any suggestions?!?

My group from Virginia will be leaving early from the Microtel Inn off of Carrier Circle, hopping onto the NYS Thruway and heading in that way. Should have anywhere from 4-6 vettes in our caravan.

I just sent out an e-mail to a bunch of the CNY Forum members with a link to this thread. I know guys like Mark and Dennis replied already, so sorry for the dupe!

Hopefully everyone will check in here. It would be very cool to get the Corvette Forum crowd together... anyone here have an official CF banner???

I plan on going. Leaving early from Syracuse sounds great. I live very close to the Microtel on Carrier Circle. There's a Starbucks right on Rt 298 where the hotels are with a huge business parking lot across the access road to it....would be a great place to meet up.

Chuck, we could meet on route 31 in Cicero as you make you way through and then we can pick up John in Bridgeport at rt 31 and rt 298...

It's go to be earlier though. I left last year at 8AM, I felt like I was the last one there.

We're leaving directly from Microtel and hopping right onto the thruway, as it's right there and very convenient, since I am leading a group of people unfamiliar with CNY. No plans to make other stops....sorry!

I'll most likely stop in for a few hours if the weather is decent.

I need to start checking this section out more often, I spend most of my time over in the C3 sections.

Rick

I'll either be with this or wandering around taking pictures of your rides.

Mark:

I agree... EARLY is the ticket. I would like to be there by 8am at the latest.

Sure you don't wanna follow John, Mark and me... and do our scenic route?

If it were just me, I'd be on it like white on rice, but with a group of people following me, I'd rather just take the easy route. I'll just meet you all there.

Parking at this show is starting to resemble Carlisle! Get there at 8:00 AM and you're in the boonies!
