[BOSTON-FENWAY PARK] Scalping question
I'm going to be in Boston in May and Fenway is sold out the evening I can attend a game (never been to Fenway!!!). Am I better off buying from an online reseller or a scalper? Is last minute scalping at Fenway a buyer's market? Are the LEOs lenient? (also posting in OT)
Thanks!
Thanks!

There are always scalpers around and, for the most part, the cops don't do anything. Start in Kenmore Square. You'll see guys with a fistful of tickets and some with signs.
However, it's a seller's market and you never know where you'll end up. Fenway Park has a number of seats that have very bad sight lines. You can be three rows from the field in right field and not be able to see much.
I go up to Fenway several times a year. Best bet is to look on Ebay. Check private sellers (the big firms all have the same seats and they're very expensive) with good feedback scores. Many of them will show you the sightline of your seat right on-line.
Enjoy.

Be prepared to pay through the nose either way you go! It's outrageous what it costs to go to Fenway these days.
To be sure, online and $$$$$$.
Take a chance on scalpers and you could save some cash.

I usually wait until the first pitch is thrown and then buy some. By then, the scalpers have to sell them! You can get them at face value no problem!

That last, but get there like 1 1/2 hour early and get in line at the ticket office on Landsdown St. Then if the line is still super long at game time find a scalper, they are everywhere. But I've had good luck getting tickets from the box office. Sox/Stankees..forget about it! Those tickets are better than gold in Boston!
