I"m pretty new here..although I been hanging around the C-5 forum for awhile. A weath of knowledge..to say the least!!
I used the C-5 forum to help me choose my 98 Coupe.
I've met jessem..to buy some stuff..and look forward to meeting others on the road..
BTW..my intent when I bought the vette was to use it from like April to Nov....I'm thinking now I may use it from March to December..
Anybody use thiers all year round?
(I may have to go to counseling if I can't get my vette fix for 3 months..)
No snow! You may be a good driver, HOWEVER, how about the idiot with no snow tires sliding into you? No way I try that in Jersey. They drive bad enough on clear days.
Hey Buddy, where you been?I don't think it's ever going to stop raining around here, and somewhere up this way they're talking about 7-8 inches of snow!!! Hopefully, that;ll be well north of me.I keep mine out as long as I can,but no rain/snow for me.When the time finally runs out for the vette,i grab a bottle or two of sta bil,and away she goes. How all the stuff work out that you bought??
Hey Groucho, Jess ,Chuck and all the rest of you wet upstaters. Yes you to Pastor Brad, how you been doing? Well here at exit 10 nothing but rain. Suppose to take vet to Buffalo this weekend for one last fling but it sure doesn't look good. Groucho where in Albany are you located? Think I saw you in Colonie Wolf Road area a couple weeks ago? Hey how bout next season we try to get together and curise to one of the local hot rod cruise ins?
Leo
Good to see some life in the Albany area..
Roadrage...lol..that should be my name..or Grouchy maybe..I hear ya, I had a BMW vert in the early 90's that not by choice was my DD for a month in January..scared the craap out of myself when I did a 360 on a ramp and somehow didn't even go off the ramp.
Jesse, the mats and seat backs came out awesome. It really dresses up the inside and adds some needed color. I may get the rest of the seats done next spring..I'm getting hooked on mods..just what my wallet needed don't give in yet..in the 60's next Monday..what else ya gonna do..rake leaves??
Pastor, I know what you mean, lots of the streets aren't even on mapquest yet, I work up there alot and get lost alot too!
Leo..I'm actually in Menands right near Littles lake. It may have been me..In fact I had the vette @ Denooyers for it's (early) 30,000 mile check-up and my first after I bought it. In fact when I was @ Denooyers, the service guy recognized the car from previous owner..(nothing bad) he knew him.. Denooyers treats me well...I split time between my boat and now..the vette..But I'd like to get together whenever a cruise is planned..Keep me in mind..I just "found" this section of the forum this week, been on the main board for a month or so..
Did anyone ever try and start a "member list" for the locals? Maybe if not..we could trade cell #'s or something
None here in glens falls either, just rain.Indian lake got like 8 inches or something.Better them there than here! Weekend might be nice LEO.Defintely will have the new vette out if the temps get remotely close to 60 and no rain!!
Welcome to the club. I've been C5less for 3 months now and I'm going nuts. I'm either buying a snowmobile or just waiting it out and picking up another C5 during the winter. I live in Guilderland and haven't met to many other C5 owners in the area. BTW, be wary of DeNooyer chevy when it comes to getting your car service. There's probably 2 good mechanics there when it comes to vettes, and the rest are "scary". See you around!

i'll buy one if you do... a C5 that is.
Lets go punk!
I just passed 118,000 on my 98. Maybe in the Spring some of us "City Folk" can that a cruise up to your neighborhood and you can show us some of your scenic back roads. The Taconic Pkwy is always a nice ride.

Lots of NY State Troopers though
Welcome to the Club. My friend lives in Albany and went to Sienna up there (I backed out the last min).

Come on up. We have several nice curvy roads in the middle of nowhere going right through farm country. I have gone out for many a cruise on the back roads and been gone for hours at a clip. Good times.
I am warning you though, sometimes that "fresh country air" is a bit overwhelming
