We are dropping our car off at Mike Norris' on Jan 24th...may have to pull the tranny & send it to Chuck @ FLP, so not sure if we will have it in time for this event. If it is not ready, keep my $60 as a donation to the fun; if it is ready, we will only run the road course.

Thanks to Sully C5. If you don't make it, we'll run a few laps in your spirit. Good luck at Norris, I'm thinking about having them install my new SPEC clutch and a new clutch/slave cylinder. I'll get a few more miles from the piece-o-crap Centerforce, then in with the new one. Good luck, hope to see you there.

Calling on Val Doc Taz to toss in the extra $60 for the drags even if you're not gonna run your Bowling Green beauty. How is that '69 Orange Roadster that you delivered? Thanks again for the dinner at Capt. Andersons. See you in Feb.

Great
But here's some news
I talked to the Track again today...and ( Thanks Mikey!)
We can have the Road Course for six and a half hours!!!!
At the price we budgeted!
Sorry we have to drop the drag Racing, but we are good to go on the Road Course
More later
THERE ARE STILL FOUR OPENINGS FOR THE ROAD COURSE...SIGN UP!
Just so everyone knows! Even though we are still short four openings for the Road course, I am going to sign the contract and I'll front the necessary $$$$
The Drag portion had to be cancelled, there was virtually no interest. People who kicked in $ 60.00 for drags will get a full refund of the $60.00!
I am going to cash everyone's checks in the next few days...If you signed up for the drags and are due a refund, if you want it right away, e mail me and there will be a check in the mail promptly..if not, I will have your checks with me at the Gainesville track. Trust me, I have too much invested in my reputation on the Forum to risk it for a few hundred $$$
Now. let's get started on the Rolex! I am really looking forward to that
Thanks Mikey

Jack,
Please apply my extra $60 from the cancelled drag to abreakey, ( Adam Breakey). I just talked to him and he forgot to send in his money. We will work it out between us.
Thanks
Mikael

The question is how long are the tires going to last? I had to replace both fronts after last years, plus wiring harness to the front brakes and my right front wheel hub and sensor! And this year I am running alot more camber!!!

I have the Kumho's this year, but more importantly, last year iI had a lot of electrical gremlins (relays, bad grounds, etc) I was way down on power!
Hopefully I'll run better this year

I want to sign up for the drag racing event but I'm not 100% sure if I'll be able to make it... Could I get my money back if I won't be able to make it?

Hey Clark, sorry I missed you. The wife said you wanted to try out the 6 speed but I got to the motel about 20 minutes after you left.

Didn't see that it was cancelled.
Can't run on the road course.. With my drag race setup I'd end up off the road at every corner ...

Hey everyone
Just two spots left for the road course and I see there is a post here that someone sent a check yesterday, so there may only be one slot left

Then move mine from the drags (if they are not taking place)
and let Bud have a spot in the autocross...
...otherwise, if a spot is not available... please give it to Bud
thanks

Hope this general information helps. This will be my third year in a row; Jack double check if things have changed.
1. Bring your own food and drinks, nothing is available at the track.
2. Nearest gas station is about 3 miles away, but you can get out of the facility and back in with no problem. I suggest 3/4 to full. You will use a lot of fuel.
3. At least one porti-tiolet will be available, but it may not be pretty.
4. Bring all the tires, tools, jacks, chairs, blankets, cameras, etc. that you want to bring. Everybody just piles there stuff on the grass to get it out of the car. Bring some plastic bags/tarps just in case.
5. Most of the hotels are near I-75 (10-12 miles away), but there should be plenty.
6. Helmets are required.
7. We will be self-regulated, so check the nut behind the wheel!
8. It's all about common sense and courtesy. You will have more track time than you can possible handle, so go easy at first.
9. Jack will review the road rules on-site, but remember this is a great learning opportunity. Emphasis should be on smoothness and control, not on timing or bragging rights.
10. In the past, we were allowed to ride as passengers with others. This is a great way to learn from others (right or wrong).
11. There will be plenty of time to get with others and see their set-up, etc. This is a very social event. All 15 of the drivers will know each other by the end of the day, so let's work together.
12 Jack has put a lot of time and effort into this event. Let's help make it safe and successful. Thanks Jack!
