I've been to Carlisle lots of times, but ended up registering for Fun Field parking only today...so I'll be showing up with no window sticker. Can I show up at the regular entrance gate with receipt in hand and they'll take care of me? Or am I going to have to park somewhere outside for $$$ and then go onto the grounds to get the window sticker?

Let's hope they actually start enforcing this!!! It seems 50% of the time on Friday and Saturday if I have to park somewhere other than where I parked Thursday, it's "somebody's spot." There is one club in particular who "stakes out" somewhere around 30 spaces of prime fun field territory as "theirs," then puts up tents, signs, etc., and chases people away telling them it's reserved when it really isn't. And they are not nice about it, either. They refuse to register as a club because, as one person told me, they don't want to be given spots way out in that area.

When you get to Gate 3, you'll turn left into the red brick building behind the white fence BEFORE you go thru the gates to the fairgrounds. That's the office. Give them your papers and they'll give you your sticker which you'll need to put on before you go thru the gates. You don't park anywhere offsite. If you're not sure, the guys at the gates will help tell you where to go.

There are quite a few actual "club spots" and they've paid for those spots. You need to check the event map ahead of time to know which clubs are parked where, and in what spaces so you don't park there. I know exactly which club you're talking about because they were less than pleasant to deal with once. That's part of why I spend the extra cash for my reserved spot every year. There are still a few available by the way. You have to call the fairgrounds to get one, can't do it online. If you're already registered for Fun Field, they'll apply what you already paid and you pay the difference, then pick up your new sticker at the office before going in.

I’ll be there again this year. Haven’t been in a couple years, will be fun to check it out again. I’ll be coming from eastern NC Thursday at some point.

Anyone have any extra vendor gate passes/passes they won't be using? Will be there Thursday AM through Saturday. Willing to throw some cash your way for the assist. Send me a PM, coming up from FL and plan on leaving with a c6 GS or early c7 for my dad.

I also emailed them about 2 weeks ago and they said they weren't sure if they were coming yet but they would email me back with a decision. I have not heard back yet. I'm hoping to get parts installed from them as well.

I'm bringing my GS replica; it will be parked on the fun field in the IH row on Thursday and Friday.

The event guide is online now, and I looked, but don't see them listed anywhere, even alphabetically. Unless I missed it. https://www.carlisleevents.com/docs/...s-carlisle.pdf

Nice. Not a pop up canopy in sight. Those were the days.

Yes, remember those days. ^^^^^^ Remember the guy “Redneck” something or other, who used to park near the fence by Gate 1 and rev the engine on his red 68-69 if I can recall? Think he was from Kentucky.

The crowd used to egg him on to start his rig up. That thing was sooooo loud. It was hilarious.

Will buy one and try it.
I confirmed over the weekend that this canopy does indeed fit in the back of our C8 coupe with a some room to spare. Still some time to order it from Amazon!

It comes with a sun shade side panel, by the way.

And these are better than the stakes typically packed with canopies: https://www.harborfreight.com/10-inc...six-96534.html

Yep, those stakes are better, and I've used them for every canopy I've owned....except the current one because the stakes are too big for the holes in the legs. Too fat. So I put two smaller stakes in each leg. Check your holes.

Carlisle Events should have extended this to anyone that ever served honorably, even for only one day. So Cpl Woody Williams, who recently died, would not have been eligible had he lived and gone to Carlisle. He was the last surviving WWII Medal of Honor recipient. The policy everywhere should be Military ID, or your DD-214 for those who did not make the military their career, such as Cpl Williams. Him Serving in WWII, at Iwo Jima specifically, should be plenty enough, Medal of Honor or no Medal of Honor. Without acknowledging that little matter, veterans are not being truly thanked. Bring this to the attention of Bill Miller please.

Supplement: Home Depot likewise. Good thoughts/bad result. Let HD know. I did.
Lowe's is squared away.

Just received a call from Joseph at ACS. They WILL be at the show. He said the hold up was making sure they could stock pile enough products to bring along without creating a shortage for their regular online sales. I have my install time slot lined up already
