Why give them grief? If you know they want you to wear a mask onto the field, why be so childish and stomp your feet and say "not me"? You won't die from wearing it for 10 feet till you're in the gate. If that's the rules.........just do it. Do you really feel like you have to prove something? lol

The resistance to masks has me completely baffled. It's borderline any inconvenience yet would allow our country to do so much more. Someone asks you to wear a mask so they can safely provide some fun entertainment and help keep others safe, yet people act like they're being asked to cut off their right arm. You see people in this thread saying they can't come because of health concerns and lack of mask wearing. The selfishness of this country is out of control. Carlisle Events worked and fought hard for all of us to be able to come and have some fun. But we can't even follow the rules to thank them and make their job easier.

My wife and I are going to go. We're meeting my brother and his wife. I expect the show to be smaller this year for sure, but we haven't really done anything all summer. So we'll cruise out on Friday afternoon, grab a bite somewhere, spend the night, walk the show and head home Saturday at some point. Covid does not scare me and we figure a day out even with fewer Vettes and vendors is better than doing nothing.

I am confused by their guidelines. I have read, and re-read the guidelines, and the ONLY place I see wearing masks is required is when you enter. When you're in your car. Alone. Or with your wife or friend.
Huh??
To this point........I can understand 5Knives resistance to wear it because it makes zero sense. No mention of having to wear a mask inside the buildings, or the food court, or anywhere else. Just as you enter. Why? Because it's "CDC guidelines". After you enter you apparently don't need or aren't required to wear a mask at all. Vendors and food handlers are required to wear them, not guests. So yeah, 5Knives, it makes no sense.
On another note, my buddy just picked up a Rapid Blue convertible C8 and he'll be parked with Chip's Circle if anyone wants to check it out. Check the map to see where that area is. It was by the NCRS tent in previous years in Rows B, C, or D. It's one beautiful ride. And Adam's is having their usual Friday night party for those who attend that too.

"COVER YOUR MOUTH AND NOSE WITH A CLOTH FACE COVER WHEN AROUND OTHERS"
Also, PA Department of Health :
"In Pennsylvania, masks must be worn whenever anyone leaves home. Masks are mandatory in all public spaces. Members of the public are encouraged to wear homemade cloth or fabric masks and save surgical masks and N95 respirators for health care workers and first responders.
Businesses that serve the public within a building or defined area require all customers to wear masks while on premises, and deny entry to individuals not wearing masks, unless the business is providing medication, medical supplies, or food, in which case the business must provide alternative methods of pick-up or delivery of goods. Individuals who cannot wear a mask due to a medical condition (including children the age of 2 years) may enter the premises without having to provide medical documentation."

Not much to ask, nothing we aren't being told in our cities. I fully understand the political aspect as well as the "enough already" crowd. Just remember if you are compromised perhaps this is not the event you should be attending. Common sense should prevail. avoid confronting people who are not wearing them, some have medical reasons while others just plain choose not to. Is it worth a confrontation? Well that should be left up to you. In the mean time I will be enjoying the incredible folks I am heading to Carlisle with, the efforts made by Lance and Jodi and of course the incredible Corvettes. See you all there!

We just canceled our trip. Decided we weren’t ready to be around that size of crowds. Also other things around there that we like to do are either shutdown or highly restricted. Did not figure that this was the year for the family vacation. Maybe next year.

There are paved pathways you drive on, then get off on the grass near your parking spot. You’ll be fine as long as you watch where you’re going

One thing's for sure........it's going to be HOT. Just looked at the forecast, and right now it says .... Thursday 96* afternoon thunderstorms, Friday 89* afternoon thunderstorms, Saturday 85* partly sunny. The way this summer has been in PA, I wouldn't worry about the rain. They keep calling for it, but we never get it. So stay hydrated. If it's humid it makes it 1000X worse.

If you wind up parking on the hill, make sure you have a full understanding of the concept of gravity before opening the door. Because if you don't, you're going to learn real quick.

We almost had a “situation” with a neighbor there a couple years back. My wife caught his door. Had she not, he, nor I, would have had a good weekend. Good point, please be mindful. We’re all there to have fun.
