We used to stay on Sunday until three o'clock and leave after everyone else was left, we don't even go to the fairgrounds on Sunday now.

Does anyone going work at a University? Around here all the University employees are told to stay in our geographic region of the state, to help prevent the spread, and would not be able to attend., I always wished they would move the show up a couple of weeks so not to compete with schools opening..

Well, if you follow the numbers, if that means anything to you, the numbers in Cumberland, York, Dauphin, Franklin, and especially Lancaster Counties are all soaring. Carlisle is in Cumberland, and the counties mentioned surround Cumberland County.
As for the dates, just a week earlier would be great. Still summer, but like you said. It wouldn't compete with Dickinson and Shippensburg opening. But then again, a lot of people who are in town to get their kids settled an are students enjoy the Corvette parade and after party. Brings a lot of business into downtown Carlisle.

"Best of Bloomington Gold" for Chip's Choice this year. They are all notable Benchmark® Corvettes. It'll showcase some amazing Corvettes that everyone will enjoy!

I cancelled my reservations as well. If I could get a deal on a room I'd probably stay for a night.

So this is maybe a stupid question. But I just bought my tickets. Headed out Friday. They have an option for $30 for 2 people and a parking pass. Is that a general parking pass or corvette only? The website doesn’t specify vette only and specifically says it is not the show field.

There has never been general parking at the fairgrounds during the Corvette show. I'm 99.9% sure it's for Corvette only parking in the general Corvette parking on top of the hill. All other cars find parking outside of the fairgrounds wherever they can find it.

So you're saying I can park my Equinox on the fairgrounds now in General parking?? Always had to park outside the gate before. Man, they must be desperate.

So where is "general parking" located?
The Fun Field is the open area in the grass but I have no clue where general parking is located.

The only general Parking on the grounds is in gate 3 to your left, & back by gate 5, look at the Event Guide Map on the Cars at Carlisle site, lots of changes from the usual layout.

Hold on to your tickets. Just in case you don't get WPXI in your area. I doubt it will effect this year, but could have repercussions down the road for Carlisle.

Maybe this was the agreement from the earlier lawsuit attempt? In my opinion, everyone should have been fighting as much as Carlisle did to keep things open. F'em!

No idea, and I agree with you about fighting. It's just a shame that things like County fairs, and other large events had to cancel and lose the revenue for their cities and counties. There's no right or wrong with all this. Damned if you do and damned if you don't as they say. Could have gone either way. Have events and have outbreaks........or have events and nothing happens. Same with schools. I feel bad for everyone trying to stay in business, trying to work and homeschool kids, etc. What a freakin mess. I for one will be glad when this is all behind us. And I sure hope I never live to see another pandemic.

Thought that’s what it was. Ordered the same package.
So what’s the deal with masks? Do you have to wear one when drive through the entrance if you’re parking on the actual grounds or?

I think they want you to be wearing the mask at the gate to be certain that 1) you have a mask, 2) you are willing to wear it, and 3) to protect their workers if they have need to discuss anything with you at the gate. I hope everyone just puts the mask on when entering so we don't have any delays entering, CAC has made extradorinary efforts to make this show happen so lets show them we appreciate their efforts and not add any unnecessary drama.

One of my coworkers friends went to the Truck Event & said mask to get in & removed after entry, that is my plan as well.

I have to wear a mask while alone in my own car? Ha!

Windows up and decal on the windshield confirming my admission into the show. No one needs to discuss anything with me. See you all there.
