Default National Corvette Museum to Leave Sinkhole Partially Filled

Folks, it’s now official. The National Corvette Museum will be preserving the sinkhole that continues to keep people flocking to the Kentucky facility in droves just to see the darn thing.

Apparently, the Museum board decided on Wednesday to leave the sinkhole partially open, but they aren’t saying it will remain a permanent fixture.

Default Unofficial Update

I was speaking with a board member at the 6 hours of Watkins Glens on June 23rd. He stated that no official complete decision has been made. The main reason is the humidity that is coming out of the sink hole must be addressed; which makes perfect since.

You must think of the future and the long time that will pass, after all it is a museum. The effects the humidity would be damaging to all that valuable metal, the cars and the building.

So, it is obvious that more needs to be carefully thought through before final decision.
