For those interested, here's a link listing 26 hotels with reviews in Carlisle:

http://www.tripadvisor.com/Hotels-g5...ia-Hotels.html

The new Wyndham in Gettysburg off RT15 is nice and not far away (15-20 mins.):

Me? Been driving back and forth to the show each day from MD since the first Corvettes@Carlisle in '82.

Carlisle is a great event - look for me, mine's the red 'Vette.

Red cars are faster. They did a study on it.
Yeah, we were planning on driving in everyday...we really don't consider it a big deal. Since we don't get to come up very often to see the extended family, we'll just enjoy the time we do have and most especially the scenery along the way.

Best advice is to read through these threads about Carlisle to find out what you should bring. Bring a pop up tent and chairs for sure!
And be sure to pre register for the Fun Field.

Does anyone know the likelihood of there being a C7 Z06 on display there? Thinking about making the trip and that would certainly increase the odds of me attending.

They've already announced that there will be PLENTY of new Z's at Carlisle. They'll be inside the GM tent, same place where the new ones were last year. You'll be able to get inside them and check out the motor, etc.

Thanks...haven't really been on the forum in a while so I hadn't seen/heard that. I appreciate the info, looks like I'll be attending.

Hey Lance,

Any chance of the new Daytona Sunrise color being on one of the C7's at Carlisle? I used to own a 2006 Daytona Sunset Orange Z06 which I sold in anticipation of the new C7 Z06. I am really hoping that this new orange will be very close to the DSOM color as that color was amazing. The C7 Z is the only reason I gave up that car. I miss it already but I know the C7 Z will more than make up for it. Velocity Yellow is the top choice but if this new color comes close it will be the new number one!

Can't wait until next month! Been attending for a while and now I got my wife hooked. Last year she sat at the gate for over an hour just watching all of the cars go by....lol. It's awesome that I can share my hobby with her. She can't wait for the new Z.

Thanks!!
Steve

Default Sweet Corvette slideshow from Carlisle 2007

Guys I'm not sure where to put this post but this seems like a good place. Can anyone tell me where the best forum to put this in is, where it will get some exposure and not be out of place?

This is a little project I started working on today. In 2007 my Pops, my brother, and I went to Corvettes at Carlisle. I've been sitting on tons of pictures from this for years. This project is kind of for the Old Man. I'd love some feedback before I show him. Would love some music suggestions! I still have to do Corvettes at Carlisle 2008 and one that's just got all sorts of pics of all his cars of the past, my mom is secretly getting those together for me. Oh yeah, his Vette is the red 69 Stingray at the end of the show thats parked in front of a house.

Thanks,
Enjoy!!!

*crap, it looks like I put Friday 2007 and Saturday 2008 in this slideshow...

I don't know the exact colors that will be coming to the event. Not to worry there will be plenty of Z06's at the event! If I find out more details regarding colors & etc. I'll be sure to update everyone here.

Lance

They don't normally get mailed out until about 2 weeks or less before the event. It's still too early.

Hi,
Is there a list of vendors attending? I wanted to schedule to get seat covers and cushion upgrades.
Thanks in advance.

We do have a list of vendors, the event magazine is getting nearer completion. Once complete we'll post a link to it.

Default Tickets, route and bookings all in order

We're all set to go and even have our free one-day entry passes thanks to our closest guess during Corvettes at Carlisle's "Guess the BJ Auction Price" FBook game held over the winter. Thanks again for the tickets - they're going to get used!

Here's hoping for great weather for the travel and event...
