Stars and Stripes - Shanksburg Crash Site Pics
Here are a few of the many pictures I took at the Crash Site. Words can not even begin to describe the feeling there at the site. We could only look at the site. The area beyond where we were is still restricted. One of the local people there said they are still finding stuff in the forrest.
The first picture is Rudy placing the Stars and Stripes Tour logo on the board and signing it. I'll let the rest of the pictures speak for themselves :flag
It's hard to see but the flag way out in the distance in this picture is the point of impact when the plane crashed... Unfortunately my camera doesn't have an optical zoom on it..
I really wish I could have continued on to New York from here, but work and an intermittent problem on my car that wasn't being so intermittent prevented me from continuing. Those who continued, please have a safe trip. Thanks again for letting me drive along on this Historic Event. :cheers:

Great pictures! I wish I could be there with everyone on the way to the crash site and The Pentagon and the World Trade Center site. :flag
The small contribution that I made by being a part of this event in Columbus, OH was truly gratifying; I can only imagine the pride that must be felt by those who have been with the tour all across this great country.
