I would like to thank everyone that helped make last year really terrific. So I thought I would make this year really terrific. Our day will begin on Wednesday at the GM HERITAGE MUSEUM for a tour. There is a ten dollar cash charge to tour the museum. After touring the museum cruise over to the Radisson Hotel 39475 North Woodward for our annual Meet & Greet. A DJ will be the to greet you and the hotel will be selling hamburgers and hot dogs. At 7:00 PM there will be a 50/50 raffle with proceeds to benefit the Open Hands Pantry. At 7:30 PM We will leave the Radisson and cruise to Eleven Mile and Woodward and make our donations to the Food Bank. openhands.pantrynet.org I have been warned by the Police that this year no burnout or spin outs will be tolerated. Still want more?? If you are available Thursday or Friday I am arranging tours of the GM Performance Build Center in Wixom, Michigan. If you own a Z06 or a ZR1 definately contact me for something special. Other than the $10.00 at the museum the cruise and tour of the Build Center FREE. You do need to email me so I can plan the tours and food at the hotel. I will also be updating everyone with addresses and if there are any time changes. I am hoping for 400 Corvettes this year. The DJ is lined up and I just received some extra prizes donated for a second chance drawing after the 50/50.

So here is an update. The DJ is all set. He is really excited to be a part of our party. The police will be there to block traffic. The food bank will have extra people on hand to accept donations. As we get closer to the day I will be setting up tours with the GM Performance Center. There will be tours both Thursday and Friday. I have arranged for extra parking next to the Radisson. There have been donations to help cover some of the extra costs. Thank you. This will be a goodtime to make new friends. Some people you might know are Wil Cooksey said he will be there, so will Dave McLellan. I am going to write to Tom Wallace to see if he can be there as well.
I hope you keep telling your friends about Corvettes on Woodward. Don't hesitate to pass along my email address to them. I am working on a web site. I have the event listed on FaceBook as well. I will keep you posted with more news soon. So far Corvettes are coming from New Jersey, Maryland, Florida, Texas, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Kentucky, California and Canada. This will be the biggest ALL CORVETTE event in Michigan this year. Thanks again everyone for your help and support.

Thursday August 19 tours of the GM Performance Build Center. Special feature meet the guy that built your Z06 and/or ZR 1 engine.
Thursday August 19 Corvette Part at Hooters

Ftiday August 20 Additional tours at PBC and tours of Katech Engineering.

Of course all of this is during Woodward Dream Cruise Week in Michigan.

I was trying to get a police escort for us on Corvettes on Woodward but was turned down. Not enough money in the budget for any extra police.

2010 CORVETTES ON WOODWARD SCHEDULE OF EVENTS
• Wednesday August 18 two tours to the GM HERITAGE CENTER times of tours noon-1:30Pm and 2:00-3:30 PM. Tours are limited to 140 cars each tour. The cost is 10.00 per person cash. The Heritage Center is Located at 600 Center Drive Sterling Heights, Michigan. Bring your camera and take lots of pictures. Verna & I will be there to collect the entry fee.

• Wednesday August 18 meet & greet at the Radisson Hotel 39475 Woodward Avenue, Bloomfield Hills begins at 4:00PM. There will be a 50/50 raffle at 7:00PM. In addition to the 50/50 raffle I have other prizes that include a book by Mike Yager “The Corvette Bible” and The Big Red Book by Jerry Burton. I also have two 50.00 gift certificates from SLP and a Corvette photo blanket from John Lenihan of Memory Throw. There are also door prizes donated by Kerbeck Chevrolet, this year’s collectible poster from Carlisle and license plate frames that say “ I’D RATHER BE DRIVING MY CORVETTE” donated by Tarnished Angels Dog Grooming. We will depart for the Cruise down Woodward at 7:30PM and deliver our food donations to the Open Hands Food Pantry at Eleven Mile and Woodward.
• The tours to the GM PERFORMACE BUILD CENTER in Wixom, Michigan have been completely changed due to the change in the production schedule and safety audits. The number of people allowed was greatly reduced, the days and times have all changed. I am asking all local Corvette owners to pass on these tours. I will work on future tours so please let me know if you are interested in a future date. I am contacting all out of state guests with tour information.
• Thursday August 19 there is a meet & greet party at HOOTERS ON Big Beaver and Rochester Road beginning at 7:00PM-midnight. I expect people will be attending at various times throughout the evening.
• Friday August 20 two are being set up to visit KATECH ENGINEERING. Each tour is limited to 30 people.
If you are interested in attending any and all of the events please let me know. It is now Monday August 16 I am closing all requests except the Food Drive and Cruise. The response has been terrific. The amount of food that is coming is WOW. There are also cash donations so I feel that this year the Food Drive and Cruise will be a great success. Thank you.
If you are planning to attend the tours to the PERFORMANCE BUILD CENTER strict safety rules will apply. NO OPEN TOE SHOES AND NO SHORTS WILL BE ALLOWED. PLEASE COME AT YOUR SCHEDULED TIME. ABSOLUTELY NO CAMERAS. NO PICTURE TAKING IS ALLOWED SO PLEASE KEEP YOUR CELL PHONES IN YOUR POCKETS.
