Corvetteforum Cruise-In XI Registration is Live Now
Thanks to Roc Linkov and the events team at the National Corvette Museum for their continued work in setting up the agenda for our annual Cruise-In to Bowling Green, KY for Memorial Day weekend, May 27-29.
If you participated in CI-X, you'll remember Wil Cooksey's challenge for this year: Come and bring a friend with you!
Follow this link to the NCM site, where you can get the agenda and register for the event, May 27-29:
One activity not yet included on the agenda is the bench dedication for IrishMac, Bill Maguire. Bill's family plans to attend and I'm awaiting word from Kathy Maguire on what day best suits the family.
The road tours often fill up early, so don't delay in making your reservations. As always, we will use the list of registrants from the NCM when we add "Cruise-In XI Veteran" tags below your Forum user IDs.
If you have any problems with registration, just contact Karen (270-467-8804, ext. 164) or Roc (270-467-8802, ext. 162) at the NCM.
The Hampton Inn, of course, is our official home while we're in Bowling Green, so be sure to contact Michael Nunn's folks to make your reservations.
Roscoe is our official chef and will, no doubt, be posting soon about how to sign up in advance for the vittles he and his crew will be preparing for us while at CI-XI.
Location: You can lead a person to knowledge, but you can't make him think. - snide The problem with the gene pool is that there is no lifeguard on duty.
You can save money and help support our NCM if you become an NCM member BEFORE registering for this year's Cruise-In.
How you ask? Registration fees and optional tours are reduced for Museum members. Not only for the Cruise-In but all NCM events.
Here's some examples:
* Registration for non NCM attendees is $25, and only $15 for Museum members.
* Heaven Hill Tour is $30 for non NCM attendeees, and only $20 for members.
* General Jackson Riverboat lunch cruise is $65 for non NCM attendees, and only $55 for Museum members.

As a new Vette owner, I have a couple questions about how all this works...
-Since I already live near Nashville, for the events in Nashville would I be required to drive to Bowling Green, make a particular cruise, and then drive BACK to BG to get "credit" for it? Or could I simply drive home after, say, the Gen. Jack cruise?
-I see that a dyno will be available. Will any tuners be there as well?
-And finally, is there a refund policy in case I can't make it?

Thanks.
Here are some unofficial answers. If I'm wrong, I'm sure someone will be along shortly to correct me.
There is no "credit" for the various events that I know of. The only thing you need to do is check in at the museum at some point to get your packet. You certainly can bail from any event at any time (I've had to drop out of cruises to get gas or due to time constraints), and there is no formal check-in at the end of a drive - some folks go back to the museum while other folks peel off to go to their hotels, or go eat, or whatever.
I am unaware of a refund policy, but you'd have to email the museum and ask them.
In the past, the dyno folks have had software and could perform a basic tune for a little extra money. I don't know what additional vendors, if any, are going to be there.
