Carlisle Hotel Closes!!

I had my reservations made at the Holiday Inn Carlisle on Carlisle Pike.......the one closest to the fairgrounds. I get a letter in the mail today from Holiday Inn saying that they are no longer a Holiday Inn and will not honor reservations! So now I'm hunting for a room.
Just giving a heads up to anyone who had a reservation there that you won't see a Holiday Inn sign there and might not have a room when you check in.

I have been a priority club member with Holiday Inn for over 30 years. That particular Holiday Inn wouldn't honor their own program. They couldn't suck more. I am not sorry to hear that they are out of business.

I AM sorry for you that you lost your reservation and you might want to check around Gettysburg or Harrisburg for a room. Holiday Inns at both cities and both honor their priority club member rates.

They have a nice bar/restaurant... and if it's still open they have a nightclub.... i just feel sorry for whoever gets stuck in the room above the nightclub.....

The wife and i got stuck up there due late room reservations last year, the hotel did mention it to us and we thought how bad can it be.... well... it could be worse.... we just drank more..

I've been told that the old Holiday Inn in Carlisle is now a Travelers Inn and they may have rooms available. Anyone have a number for them?

The Mechanicsburg Holiday Inn isn't a bad drive to the fair grounds and has a pretty good restaurant and several others within walking distance...

The huge parking lot there is like a Corvettes at Holiday Inn Mechanicsburg. Quite a car show in itself. See you there Saturday night.
