It is now posted on their website--The Saturday night entertainment is...... Survivor
Too bad only 2 of the older members are there. I'm a bit disappointed that Jim Peterik is no longer with them, my wife went to school with him in Berwyn. Frankie Sullivan is the only original member and Marc Droubay came in 8 months after the band was formed, the rest have been added since 2007 So you get the music but not the original artists.Kinda sucks! http://www.corvettefunfest.com/#

I know what you mean. Few of the old bands are touring and most have only one or two original members. I guess Mick Jagger was already booked. It's ok with me though, I enjoy the concerts more now. It's less crowded and everyone isn't stoned. Back in the day people would be passed out in the grass and your car was likely to get smashed up before you could get out of the parking lot. I can't wait for the Funfest.
Dean Torrence from Jan and Dean will be performing with what is left of many of the original members of the Beach Boys as well as Survivor.
Looks like Mid America might have taken a lot of folks seriously when they said that the "up'd price was too much and many commented on how they would not be attending"...The entertainment definitely compensates now for the price increase. Now only time will tell if this effort was just too late or not.

There are no original beach boys in that band, just a couple that played with them over the years. Still should be a good show.I saw the Beach Boys there in 2005 and thought nothing could top that weekend.I had just bought a new 2005 Corvette and the trip was complete seeing the Beach Boys that weekend. Of course I'm in my 60's so grew up with the Surfing music and Corvettes. They go together in my book!

hmm well the way I read it looked like quite a few of the members were in it...I personally only recognized Brian Wilson (too bad he won't be there) but this is what I received:

Funfest goers are in for a treat this year as Mid America Motorworks celebrates its 35th Anniversary. Not only will they enjoy the hard driving rock of Survivor, but they will also be able to sit back and relish the ultimate good-time music act of the early ‘60s – The Jan & Dean Show, featuring Dean Torrence! The mere mention of their name today evokes images of suntanned teens dancing and surfing on the beach of Malibu. A few of their top hit singles include:
• Dead Man’s Curve
• Surf City
• Little Old Lady from Pasadena
• Sidewalk Surfin
• Drag City
• Heart & Soul
• Ride the Wild Surf
The original storyline of Dead Man’s Curve evolved from the tragic, near fatal accident of Jan Berry in his Corvette Stingray. But he did come back from Dead Man’s Curve to record the famous song. Performing many times with the Beach Boys, whom Funfest attendees enjoyed in 2005, the Jan and Dean Show is sure to be a hit!
But that’s not all! Accompanying the Jan and Dean Show will be the OC Beach Band! Maybe you’ve heard of a few of the members – Chris Farmer (bass player and vocalist for the Beach Boys from 1995-2007), Mike Kowalski (drummer for the Beach Boys in the late 1960’s), Scott Bennett and Probyn Gregory (of the Brian Wilson Band), and Michael Campion and Dan McNamara (of the Surf City Boys). So Help Me Rhonda, we’ll all be Surfin’ USA in our Little Deuce Coupe! What a show this will be!
The Saturday Night Entertainment is turning out to be quite an event! I know many of you enjoyed the Beach Boys at Funfest 2005. Chris Farmer, who played with them at that time, will be back as vocalist & bass player for the OC Beach Band. They’re joining the Jan & Dean Show which will be the opening entertainment for the evening. I grew up singing along to many of their songs like Dead Man’s Curve & Little Old Lady from Pasadena. Music has changed a lot in the last (oh, this hurts) 60 years. So to celebrate my birthday & Mid America Motorworks’ 35th Anniversary, we wanted to provide you with extra special entertainment, to reflect some of those changes. So this year, you’ll not have just one band, but two! Stay tuned! There’s even more to come!
