Monterey "Super Events" - 2002 Website & early corral sign-up

This post is to introduce the 3rd Annual Monterey SUPER Events 2002 website to Forum members. If expectations are fulfilled, the Monterey Super Events will include three of the most important Corvette events in the West in 2002. Those three events are the Pacific Grove Rally and Dinner, the Monterey/Rolex "Historics" Races at Laguna Seca, and the Monterey "Del Oro," which you will be hearing much more about thoughout the year. We, as a group, are arranging, with the aid of fellow Forum member Mike "Mikegoat" Albov, to provide a Corvette corral on turn five at Laguna Seca. The significance of this for 2002 is, we expect, for the first time in history, the Corvette will be the featured automobile at the Monterey/Rolex "Historics" (not yet confirmed). This event, as well as the "Del Oro" is expected to be a major international celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Corvette. Visit the site for full info! As is stands today, we will be limited to corral passes to accommodate 150 Corvettes. Those who wish to be included in the corral will need to purchase their "Historics" tickets from Mike, at his cost, when they become available. We are offering a sign-up list on the website to give all our fellow Forum members an opportunity to reserve a spot early. Priority will be given to those who sign up for both the "Historics" and the Pacific Grove Rally. This corral is expected to be a very "in demand" Corvette gathering and will be first come--first served.
