Hey Omaha !! I'm heading your way on 9/21/02 - what's up ??!!??
Hey Corvetteforum folks,
I am heading up to Omaha for a weekend with my family. Yep, I get to come back to the land of great steaks, Runza's, Husker fans ( Penn state :cry ) and Valentino's pizza.
I was wondering if there was anything going on Saturday 9/21/02 - car show, Vette outing, Hooters get together, what have you.
Let me know. I've got Sat. evening free and don't want to waste it not getting to meet the local Vette gang.
I am heading up to Omaha for a weekend with my family. Yep, I get to come back to the land of great steaks, Runza's, Husker fans ( Penn state :cry ) and Valentino's pizza.

I'm free on Saturday night for a get together.... Hooters sounds like a good time......
As for a car show, my Corvette club is having a car show at the Harrah's Casino parking lot on Saturday morning from 10-1.
I will see if I can find any interest from others in the area.....

On Saturday 09/21 from 10:00am - 2:00PM in Blair, NE. at Sid Dillon Motors, there will be a bunch of older Corvettes and members of Midwest Early Corvette Club gathering to welcome a 50th Anniversary car.
C1s through C4s are particularly invited.
If it's not raining I'll be taking my old 1980 there for a special celebration.
Stop up and see us if you get a chance.

Probably in the neighborhood of 20 maybe more..... Not sure.......
By the way i was planning on meeting up at Hooters around 6:00pm Saturday night, and staying until we decide to leave......

Well, since I will be staying in Oakland, NE - Blair is definatly closer to me than Council Bluffs.

A little history: I don't own the 1980 but I DID OWN IT from 1988 to 2000 before I sold it to my cousin. I was third owner when I bought it. It looked great before I sold it to my cousin and before I got my 2001 coupe. My cousin's "priorities" are different than mine. Hence, he tends to park the car where it can be subject to "door dings". I'm "borrowing" it this weekend for the event at Sid Dillon. My cousin plans on giving the car to his father in October for his birthday. My gift to both of them is to detail the car. I've placed 6 coats of Zaino on the car this week. It looks the best it has looked in years except for the "door dings". SO... my 1980 looks "old". Your 1980 looks new.
I might be able to drop by Hooters after 6:30 PM on Saturday.

I will be the large gentelman in the bright yellow "Corvette Survivor Series" Corvette racing T-shirt and black jeans.
My beanpole brother will be with me as well. He's not a Vette owner, but his '70 Chevelle is :cool: enough to let him be seen with us. :D
