Golden Cruise Rear-ended
Need some advice; while at the cruise I got bumped by a low-rider while she was changing lanes, tapped me on the rear corner just under the tail lights. she was drunk so I called it in. she got ticketed for un-safe lane change, no idea why he didn't charge her with DUI?
In the daylight you can't see the damage but if you put a flashlight on it you can see lots of hairline cracks.
2007 LMB with 5000 mile, the car is show room, not a single scratch anywhere. Just finished with a clay bar and two coats of Zaino for the show
Do I have it fixed and risk the paint not matching, risk the Carfax report?
Can the cracks be polished out?
Can you guys recommend a really good paint shop?

Wish it was, I nearly went into space when it happened.
This is my second, had a C5 before, ordered this car new so, it really sucks.
if anybody has a reference to a good paint shop, sure would appreciate it

Turns out she gave a false contact number on the ticket she got for improper lane change and she has no insurance, don't know if she is an illegal, that doesn't seem to mater these days.
Gonna file a small claims just on merit

Illegals don't need insurance or a drivers license. You just make sure you have a front plate or you'll get cited!

Have a friend that got his 66 hit in the front while at a local corvette shop (I know, unbelievable). They had it repaired at Hair Trigger Customs in Englewood. They did a great job matching 20 year old paint perfectly.
