C5 of Year Finalist (appearance mods) 2019
Just saw this thread and am trying to get my ducks in a row regarding potential hurdles on purchasing a modified out of state C5 corvette. The corvette I likely will be purchasing will be tuned on 93 at close to sea level.
Ideally I would like the ability to have 3 separate maps for my corvette, ie 91, E85, and a low emissions map. Based on what little I have read HP Tuners sounds like the way to go, it should give me the extensibility to make changes down the road. If anyone is using HP Tuners can you provide me with what is the cheapest version of the tool/cable I would need to be able to scan and flash maps? Any gotcha's I need to be aware of?
It sounds like Bill would be my best bet to get me going but coloradospeed is right down the street. I'm hoping regardless of what tuner I select they can provide me with a limp mode map I can use to drive the car to the shop versus getting it towed. Thanks for the information guys.

I would just call Bill. He has all the latest software, hardware, etc. He could give you some tips on what to get. I currently have a 91 and emissions tune for mine. Our goal, sometime when I can get to it is to get the e85 tune done...
