Default Moving to the Springs

I am moving to the Springs from Texas on 10/28/2012 and will be staying with family until I find a rent house. If anyone knows of a rental in a nice area that will accept my two lab/rotty mix dogs and our cat please let me know. Our animals are all snipped and are older. We are vary clean people and own a house in Texas were not trashy people who tear things up. I work for the phone company and my wife works for a vet hospital.

We are looking for something close to monument or manitou springs. Other areas would be considered. We are trying to keep our rent below $1,500

Thanks for any help. You can reach me here, email or phone.

I just saw this, so you've probably already found something, they're readily available around here. If you still need help, I'll see what I can scare up for you.

I have not found anything yet we are currently in a holding pattern waiting on our house in Texas to lease so we are not covering two mortagages. I would like to have some vette people close around though. Not to many where I am currently and it sucks. I will be staying in Monument for a while with family until we get everything worked out on our house. So I have to leave my car here until we get a house. That sucks becouse I have not even got it back from the paint shop from doing the 2" flared fenders. Lol I have to pick it up tomorrow then drop it off at the house here and leave for Corado. I don't even get to clean her up from the body shop. I have to be there on Monday to report to work.

Thanks for any help or just to meet up with other car people. I know it's not driving season there but it gives me something to look forward to.

I'll ask around and look around, will let you know if I run across something, though I don't know just what you're looking for (# bedrooms, baths, etc.).

I just got my vette a few days ago, so I'm not part of a group or anything. I usually see one vette a day driving around, more on nice weekends. Weather just turned cold and snowy here.

I have never lived there but have been there several times. My wife and I love it and are origanaly from Houston Texas which is one of the largest cities in the u s We don't want to live in a metro area anymore. I think we will love it. I worked in the north east for several years off and on and I'm tired of the Texas heat for a while. We need a change.

I really like the Springs. I live about 80 miles west though. "Nicer" areas that I think might fit your budget would be in N.E. Colorado Springs. The cross-streets I would look around would be off Powers.

Powers runs North and South:

I'd look around:
Barnes
Stetson Hills
Carefree
Quebec

I have friends that live in these areas and they're all very happy with that area of town.

The guy I know who had a house for sale in Monument sold it already, I'll see what else may pop up.

I'm sure you meant http://www.rmcsc.org instead. Hope you don't mind the correction.

I will check out local websites and clubs as soon as we get settled in more. I have noticed there are a couple of clubs in the area. I should have my car here in two weeks. I just hope I get to drive it once or twice before the weather turns completely bad.

Thanks to everyone for the positive feed back

I'm planning on taking the wife out on a drive Monday. Supposed to be sunny with a high of 50, should be alright. I got caught out in the rain this morning at least now I know the wipers work.

Welcome to the Springs. I'm in Meridian Ranch which is close to you, I like it here. There is a Y .6 miles from my house in the community, golf course in the backyard. Over-sized 3 car garage and 3200 sq ft of living space for $1500, can't beat it. I wanted to rent as well being new to the area.
