Last weekend's NASA event at HPR was postponed because of the snow, and unfortunately I can't make this weekend's "replacement event" at PPIR The weather forecast looks great for this Friday so I'm planning to head out to HPR for a lapping day. Winter pricing is full day for $100. Anybody else??
A plea to those that are "thinking" about going out tomorrow - please sign up online today. Per the HPR website: "if less than 10 people have registered via online signup by midnight of the night before the Lapping Day, the Lapping Day will be cancelled due to lack of signups". And I really want to go.......
It may be one of the last nice days to get out there until next Spring. Winter sessions: gates open by 9:00, info meeting at 9:45 and track hot 10:00 - 4:00 pm. Gates close at 5:00. Cost is $100 for all day. http://www.highplainsraceway.com/events.html
Wow - If I had seen this yesterday I would now probably be out having fun instead of plugging away at my desk at work <note to self - check board more often!!>
Hope the day made ... and that you're having enough fun for all of us

Had a great day & you couldn't have asked for better weather. 'Twas upper 50's in the morning (amazing how much stronger the Z feels in the cooler air!) and got up to 77* in the afternoon. No sessions - just open track from 10am-4 pm - come and go as you choose.
There were maybe 25 cars there by the afternoon; several BMWs, Porsches, Japanese AWD brands, 2 Vipers and various sports racers. I was the only Corvette there - what happened to you guys???

I saw several Corvettes out on the streets today (and a few nicely restored '60s muscle cars too)! This is Colorado, not Minnesota - there are some really nice days between October and April. I keep mine insured and ready to drive year 'round - it's tough not driving it for even a few weeks. And while I don't generally take it out when the roads aren't "good", the very first miles I put on my '08 were in the snow - when I picked it up at Purifoy on January 4, 2008. Happy trails..........

I'm with you... Too many nice days to keep a great Vette in a garage. Have to have at least a weekly fix or I get this werid twitch
Would have joined you, but just could not get out on Friday. Did take a nice spin on Saturday up in the hills. A bit of gravel in some spots, but not enough to slow me down too much...
