Default HPR "Gala"

Went out today for a couple of hours. Beautiful day, one of the best of the summer. Have to figure someone from here was there because there were 50 Vette's if there was one. Must have seen half dozen black C5 Z06's. And a nice collection of cars for the show, and pretty great turnout. Place was packed. Got a great look at a number of Corvette roll bar/cage, racing seats, harness, etc. setups.

The celeb "race" and ride alongs were not for me but ok. The best thing they did was a half track 20 lap Spec Miata race around mid afternoon. Anyone who's watched the Spec Miata guys go at it know they race pretty hard. Clean, but hard. I finally got a good buddy out who's never seen the club racing scene, and he was definitely impressed with how they went at it. Interesting to note the faster among them were right on the very inside entering turn 2, a very tight line. We watched from 1-2.

Perhaps the most amusing part of the whole day is once we got to Bennet or so we started to see cars coming back from HPR going west. You name it. Ferrari's, Mazarati's, Lambroghini's, Mercedes, BMW's, Audi's, Mustangs, and of course Corvette's to name just a few. As we got closer on 36 it was almost comical. And they were still rolling in when we left around 4. Law Enforcement made it's presence known, but saw no one pulled over mainly because every one was doing the limit or less. I didn't see anybody speeding.

I was out there as well and there was deffinately some very nice cars there.

Had the exact same feeling too. As I was driving down 36 I kept seeing all the same cars and knew I was heading the right way.

Heres a couple pics another guy that was out there took. My car is the left one in first pic.

Nice pics guys. Wow, it really was a pretty day huh? I hope the event was as successful as the weather was good.

Well duh, I walked right by the Revs Perf tent and your Z06 not once but twice! Just didn't put it together.

First time by I and my buddy had just finished looking at the show cars and both commented the silver is definitely the most "sleath" for the Z06 Vette's. On the way back through we spent some time looking over the Subaru. I was in a black Corvette "crew" shirt if you happen to notice.

Edit: Meant to ask, any idea how the GT3 owner has his GoPro mounted on the dash?

The GoPro Motorsports comes with different mounts with double sided tape that you can stick anywhere, he just stuck one to his dash.

Yea, I have one with all the mounts. Kinda figured, I was just a bit skeptical a Porsche owner would do to his car what I wouldn't do to mine, and thought maybe he figured out a better solution. Thinking I've seen that car with NASA as well, and it's fast! Duh.
