Default Look out Bowling Green, here we come

Bright and shiny tomorrow morning(departing south Wichita at 6am) 25-30 members, 15-16 cars, of the Air Capital Corvette Club are heading out, destination Bowling Green, KY.

Our route is going to take us across southern Kansas and into Missouri. Going to be passing through Springfield, MO to pick up highway 60 and continue east toward Paducah, KY. I'm pretty sure when we get into KY we're going to pick up highway 62 and continue east to highway 231, then head south to BG.

Home again, home again.........1800 miles this weekend, my butt is killin' me.

And if you're ever in the Bowling Green area and need a place to stay, stop in at the Bryce Inn, in Smith's Grove, exit 38 on I-65. Bob and Jackie Lightfoot will take good care of you. Thanks buddy.

Looks like a blast!!!
I wonder if it would be nuts to try to get a '73 BB car to make that trip!

Hey Jim, Fast Glass Vette club from Jonesboro, AR was there too. One of their members was driving a big block, steel bumper car, and another of their members was driving a very nice C2 convertible, don't remember if it was a 65, 66, or 67, but very nice car. You'd make it, you just wouldn't like the gas bill.........

Dave!

That would be nuts for sure, but I bet a Chevelle could make the trip.

Sounds like you guys had a blast. Thanks for the pictures. Post some more if you've got 'em.

Please email me some info on your club - I don't think there's a lot going on locally.... Thanks!

Here you go Steve, this is the website for Air Capital Corvette Club. We meet the first Wed. of every month(7pm) at Don Hattan Chevrolet in Park City, KS, just north of Wichita. We have members from all over the state, they don't necessarily make every meeting, but they attend drive and eats or trips like this one. If you're ever down this way come by and see us.

Great pics...looks like fun .

Jim,

As solid as your 73 is, I would take that trip in a minute without worries.

Thanks, David - I'll try to make it down for the next meeting. My wife is originally from the Park City area, so we're familiar with it.

That looks like you all had a lot of fun. I plan on going to BG this summer. I can't make the CF cruise-in, Memorial Weekend just isn't good for me. But two weeks later, CAC is having their CruiseFest and I am going then.

I really not a traitor, it just works in my schedule. Out here in WAY western Kansas I don't think there are any Corvette Clubs, at least none that I am aware of.
