If you become a ground intel officer, you would go to scout sniper school. You would do 10 weeks OCS, 6 months TBS. At TBS you would give them your wish list for MOS's. If you got selected for ground intel you would do 3 months at infantry school and then go to Intel school somewhere near Norfolk, I can't remember the exact city. After intel school, you would go back to scout sniper school in Quantico, VA.

Hey man, I'm a Marine 1st Lt. I'm an NFO that flys the Prowler. My path, was I graduated from UNC, did the 10 week PLC, 2 months of officer recruiting duty (so I'm very familiar with the entire process), 6 months at TBS, 3 months at Infantry Officer Course, 2 months of Introductory flight training, 1.5 years in Pensacola for flight training, and I'm currently in Whidbey Island, WA for the Prowler FRS. I'll be moving to MCAS Cherry Point next November for my first fleet tour. So far I have nothing but great things to say about the military. An option you may not have considered is Marine aviation, a lot of guys with technical degrees go that route. You can get a gurantee in your contract to be a Pilot or NFO. If you sign a ground contract you'll compete for your military occupational specialty(MOS) at TBS. If you have any questions send me a message and I'd be more than happy to help you with any info I have. I know mostly about the aviation side, but I went through the infantry course and I've got lots of friends in the different MOS's so I can hopefully help you out with that stuff too. I wouldn't get anything out of you joining up so I can give you a different point of view than an officer recruiter. Check out this site I made when I was helping a recruiter that gives you lots of info about all of the different paths.
