The viper rears are alot better design than the C4. The half shafts do not act as the upper control arm like on the C4. That's why they always fail on the vettes. They have to bear the stress of acting as a suspension component and as a driveline part. Also the transmission is not connected to the rear on the viper either. It has it's own crossmember like a regular vehicle. With decent half shafts low 1.3 60fts are possible on a regular basis without fail.
Hi leeland,
No I haven't dyno'd the car. I have been driving around tunning it. I seam to be getting pretty close. but that will have to wait I justblew a half shaft and spindal this week.
Your project sounds killer.
How are the viper rear ends put together?
